Going through a few of the posts I realised that many guys try to discredit Cotto's win over Yuri by saying he was injured and 1 legged coming into the fight with Miguel...Yet those same guys forget that Foreman had won the title with that same leg braced and nt a word mentioned in his sterling performance about that...

Its Foreman's fault for going into the ring with a ****ed up kneee, thats how I see it. When going into the right every fighter MUST be at 100%.

You are right about that. They also then try to say "aw, well he was fighting a 1 legged fighter the WHOLE fight."; he was dominated the WHOLE fight then ONLY hurt it in the 7th round. :yep

I actually remember quite a few people saying Foreman was going to box Cotto's ears off.

I jus find it amazing...1st the problem was he never defeated a champ for his title (which he did with Foreman!) Then came the, Yuri was a 1 legged bumb right after the fight...

I mean just give a guy credit without trying to tarnish it

I agree, I understand some people want to show that they are warriors and all that nonsense, but when it comes down to it, there's a line that separates being a warrior and being smart. And if Foreman wanted to be smart he should of took some time off to recover that knee

    He aggravated an injury.
You guys can't be serious. Like Yuri would know in advance that his leg would slip out like that on the mat.

Regardless of how you want to view it the fact remains:
He aggravated an injury to a pretty intense degree and he continued to fight.
Of course that's a tough thing to do and most (you included as well as I) more than likely could not pull that off.

I could only imagine what some of you would say had he backed out of the fight when a knee brace, in most respects, would have allowed him to fight effectively.

Now you're saying "ah, he did the dumb thing"
I think we all know what you'd be saying if he did indeed opt out of the fight.

No bro I don't think u understand my argument...I'm saying that if Yuri was good enough to win the title with his 'injured' leg, he was good enough to defend it against Cotto.

Fact of the matter is, Miguel made it very uncomfy for Yuri in there...that led to the injury bn aggravated but that shouldn't tarnish a pretty good performance on Cotto's part.

As a fighter myself, I could never go into a fight if I wasn't 100% sir...I would imagine especially if MY world title is at stake. Thing is, he won the title in his previous outing WITH that same knee brace on...

before the fight people were saying cotto was done and that foreman was actually too big with good boxing skills and his movement would give him a comfortable decision against cotto.

cotto wins then foreman is the biggest jewish crippled bum in sports history
