It's the 'bad guy' act, floyld's so good at acting, he even fooled the police and the DA's office into thinking he was violating the law...The jokes on them though, they're gonna feel pretty stupid once floyd explains he was merely 'acting'...
floyd's immature and insecure personality is as real as can be... it's so easy to see. His legal problems are proof of this.
95% of the criticism he gets has absolutely nothing to do with who he is as a fighter, and the majority of it is childish nonsense. When Mayweather retired he's a coward, when he comes back he's in tax trouble, when he beats Marquez and Shane jumps in the ring he's scared of Shane but when he beats Shane all of a sudden he's scared of Pacqauio now. Everything he's done in the last X amount of years has been criticized more in regards to what he dose outside of the ring than inside the ring. He's always supposedly scared of whatever Top Rank fighter Bob Arum wants to shove down our throats Cotto, Margarito, Pacqauio. Every fighter he beats has to be discredited some how, I remember HBO Hyping a Ricky Hatton vs Floyd Mayweather fight from 2005 to when it actually happened and then when he knocks out Ricky all of a sudden Hattons to small. After Mosley pulled a Kayne West on him EPSN, HBO, and even Boxing fans Hyped that fight, and after Floyd wins....welll, Shane had this wrong or that wrong. Even if Floyd Mayweather fights and beats Manny Pacqauio he'll never get credit for it because someone will find an excuse. My point is this, If your going to criticize him do it when he fights, don't criticize his personal life, how long it takes for him to actually fight, or even how long it takes for him to sign a contract.
I don't care if you hate floyd because i'm not floyd. I think it is stupid when you hate someone so much that you deny greatness. Like people saying he isn't an atg, he can't compete in certain eras, etc. Also every time he beats someone easy that people say will give him problems they make excuses. Im cool with people I know that say I can't stand him but he is truly one of the best to ever do it. I don't like larry holmes but I don't go around talking about him everyday saying dumb ****. If you don't like floyd don't say **** about him. Simple. Why would you want to talk about someone you hate everyday?
I dont really see Floyd critics denying the fact that he's probably the most skilled boxer of this era. The fact is.....he is! What he does get criticized for is his reluctance to back up what he says and get in the ring to fight the best possible opposition without making excuses. If you're the best you fight the best. You dont talk about how you'd beat them. You get in the ring and do it.
this is not fair. floyd says **** a lot, and this provokes people to do the same. why can you not see that floyd disrespects people and is unclassy? floyd is not hated for no reason. even if he is, people recognize and respect his talents. what they question is his achievements that are not at par with his talents. take this as a compliment for floyd. that people place him so high up in terms of skills, talent and potential.
What I dont like about Floyd is, he can dish it out but he cant take it. He likes to talk about other fighters finances and personal issues, but god forbid you bring up his or ask him about personal family issues. He stopped granting btalk interviews because G. Leon mentioned something about Floyd's finance issues. He constantly brings up Pac's contract deal with Top Rank and comments on how Pac has the worst deal in boxing. I ask....what does this have to do with anything? How does this effect Floyd in any way? He brings up Mosley's divorce issues. To me that's crossing the line in my opinion.
I never said floyd was classy. I've said before I don't give a **** what floyd says about people. All I care about is what he does in the ring. Does floyd act like an ass, hell yea. I guess im different from other people. Whether you want to believe it or not floyd is hated because he talks alot of ****. Only a small part has to do with him not fighting every opposition. He wasn't even hated until the de la hoya fight. Honestly if floyd was respectful and didn't talk trash, no one would criticize his resume the way they do. I never said they don't respect his talents, I said they down play his accomplishments like his hasn't did ****. Saying he hasn't fought anyone and isn't a atg, come on now.
spot-on. but would care less about his personal issues nor his insecurities. just want him to man-up and fight pacquiao soon.
Who gives a ****? I don't care if Floyd can dish it out but he can't take it. Its like me hating Ali because he said Frazier looks like a ******. Hes a complete dumb ass for that but I only care about what he does in the ring.
