Why do you care if Floyd talks **** though? Does it mess up your life in any way? Does he talk **** about you? I just don't get worked up over something like this. :good
:roflSame here But real talk, i dont think anyone complains when floyd is said to be a bad guy, we only take it to heart when people judge floyd because of that. What you have to realise is 'money' and 'pretty boy' is just a persona, and you shouldnt judge him as a person based on his persona's
I can respect that :good. It seems like everyday someone is asking why do you like Floyd? How can you like someone who talks so much trash? So I thought I would ask why does it matter if he does talk ****? It doesn't alter your life in anyway. Now if he killed someone then that is completely different.
If you like him despite all his childish immature behavior then that's your right. My question is, why get mad at people who criticize him when he stated himself that he's playing the bad guy in order to sell himself. He's purposely out to make people not like him so that they can buy his ppv's in hopes to witness him lose. Its like, he wants people to hate him, yet cries along with is fans when people do.
There's a difference between hating, and making up excuses and BS in an attempt to discredit him. You can hate a guy, but still acknowledge his accomplishments. Its one thing for people to say, "I hate mayweather because he's cocky, arrogant, talk too much ****, I hopr he gets KOed" but too many haters go beyond that and start making up false ducking allegations, doing 180's and making excuses for fighters he beat after they swore Floyd was scared of him and would lose.
To be honest, I really dont see anyone not claiming that Floyd isnt one of the best of this era. His skills can not be denied. Even his biggest haters will admit that. Facts are facts though. He didn't face the biggest challenges that were presented to him. He instead chose to chase money instead of greatness. He said so himself. "I'm not fighting to prove to the fans who the best is"
That point has been made for years here. On the one hand they praise his marketing abilities and tell us hes playing the role of a villain, yet when people respond naturally with disdain to the so called villain, they ***** and cry about it.
The better question is: If you claim to KNOW someone is purposefully following the tried and true method of intentionally acting an azz/bad guy for marketing purposes, why would you allow yourself to participate in that manipulation? Like I always say: It's like a 11 year old boy who claims that he KNOWS wrestling is fake and then cries when Hulk Hogan turns 'heel'. Seriously, look at your avatar, man. You're telling me you let a marketing ploy drive you to that level?
To what level? I frequent boxing forums every day, and every day I see Floyd fans crying and complaining at how Floyd is hated on. At the same time, I see Floyd going thru emotional breakdowns due to the fact that he's not embraced by the boxing world. I'm not taking part in the manipulation. I just dont understand why Floyd and his fans cant accept the backlash he recieved due to his actions.
Not only is his act cringworthy and annoying, I think lots of boxing fans, including myself, dont like to see the sport turned into a circus act with people playing 'roles' of good guy and bad guy. That bull**** belongs in the wwe, not boxing. At least thats my opinion, I know there may be some people who need all that bull**** to be entertained
he dont want to play the villian is the reason why but he did do it to get rich because you all want to see him get shut up
There a lot of people who say that Floyd is overrated and that he hasn't fought anybody. I also don't agree that he hasn't faced the biggest challenges that were presented to him. Peopl are pretty much basing that off of Marg, and Cotto, but IMO the Oscar at 154 he fought was better than both of them. Mosley raped Marg. I can understand as a boxing fan wishing that the fight had happened. But people start making up BS that he was scared and ducking, when that just not true and their are no facts to support it.
Every sport has good vs evil storylines to some extent and that is what makes sports unique and fans passionate. Hell, even tennis fruits like Agassi vs Sampras were viewed as such. Technology has made the world smaller and made everyone more accessible; boxers, football players, actors, etc have more venues than ever to show their personalities (or what they want the public to perceive) and the public forms their own conclusions. Boxers like Floyd embellish and roll with the 'heel' tag while guys like Pacquiao embellish and roll with the good guy tag. In reality, they are both flawed and make good and bad decisions every day. I'm not trying to paint a picture of Floyd being a great person as he has acted like a douche recently and deserves most of the criticism that he has received. It just seems rather juvenile to me for someone to love Pacquiao because he is such a great guy and hate Floyd for being a dickhead because you are indeed falling into the trap that they have intentionally created. In reality, behind closed doors with people that they trust: Floyd = dickhead Pac = dickhead Me = dickhead You = dickhead Get it?
