For those of you who think Canelo will defeat Lara, how do you see him winning? I'm baffled! If he boxes Lara he will get out jabbed and outlanded w clean punches. Lara prob wins a dec 9-3 or 8-4. If Canelo choses to slug and apply pressure I can see him getting knocked out or hospitalized something like Angulo or Paul Williams.
As overrated as Lara is as a boxer Alvarez is inversely underrated, Alvarez is as good or a better boxer than Lara. Both have their strengths Lara with stamina and footwork Alvarez with power and offensive iq, imo Alvarez can outbox Lara catching him with powerful aggressive combos and counters or he can wear Lara down and stop him. Lara's only chance is to potshot and maintain distance(run). Offensively I don't think Lara has the fire power to keep Nelo off him and defensively for all the praise he gets on that end lesser fighters like Angulo, Vanes have shown he's not hard to touch. People betting on Lara seem to be banking on Lara being able out out maneuver Nelo on his feet and hope he tires out
Vanes martarosian won 3 rounds tops and hit air all night. I also agree w Ronnie shields when he said it wasn't the same Angulo Lara faced. I think Angulo was trying to kill Lara. 80 punches a round all w bad intensions. Never got tired. Angulo took a paycheck in the Canelo fight. That or the rehydrating rumors were true. Angulo wasn't even sparring w Canelo. Canelo hasn't stopped anyone. His power is way overrated.
