The only person Wilder is genuinely scared of is Dustin Nichols.

If you want to spook Wilder this Halloween, go round to his house in a Dustin Nicholls costume.

Well he fought him once and signed to fight him another two times so I don't think so.

So you think with 100% certainty that Feb 22nd is going ahead because it’s “signed”?

I don't know about February 22nd because Fury got a bad cut and Wilder could be injured v Ortiz. However, I'm 100% certain, provided Wilder beats Ortiz, that their next fight will be against each other.

I called February 22nd not happening before the cut and I stand by it now that it won’t happen. I’ll also put serious, serious doubts that they fight each other next.

Wilders management team dont want to risk Hearn picking up the other major strap at HW if Wilder loses

Therefore they are paying the WBC off to consistently keep Whyte away from being mandatory.

The WBC isnt known as We Be Crooks for nothing

I'm prepared to wait and see before dissing it. Fury mentioned legal action being taken if Wilder went elswhere and I'm sure Arum would be right behind that. Arum's main reason for signing Fury was a Wilder rematch. That's where the financial return comes from.

Lots of talk of Wilder or at least the winner of Wilder/Fury being named WBC franchise champion. Whyte could simply be a ‘Haney’ and get made up to regular world champion if he’s still mandatory.

I don’t think Fury wants the Wilder rematch and like @Scissors I was also saying Feb 22nd wasn’t going to happen. I can actually see Wilder fighting Chisora next if Haye can do a deal between Hayemaker and PBC that excludes any Matchroom involvement.

He did, but that seemed to be forgotten when HE wanted to go elsewhere saying that his WWE commitments may put his boxing career on hold. Fury ‘apparently’ wants in on the UFC next and some more WWE shows. Wilder is within his rights to keep busy surely?

Whyte seems a lot more content with the situation now. All that PPV dosh has chilled him out a bit, not to mention the drug controversy..

The WBC belt is becoming less and less about boxing. The franchise thing is almost a parody to see how much they can get away with. They could quite easily make it into a comedy sketch.

Everyone knows the score. Fury's team, Wilder's team, Whyte's team ... nobody is thinking about boxing styles, just making sure everyone gets paid. Which they are.

Whyte will get his shot when all parties have a few more zeros in the bank.

That's all hype from Fury. The chances of him getting injured in that wrestling match were very slim. Obviously if Fury got injured Wilder is entitled to keep busy. Likewise if Wilder gets injured Fury can do the same.

However, as said, if both guys are healthy they're legally obliged to fight each other. The first thing Fury mentioned after the WWE match last night was the Wilder fight in February.

I'd say Wilder isn't, but his team are afraid that Wilder could lose against Whyte, and they don't want Wilder losing.

Hence why they picked a Boogeyman who is tailed made for someone like Wilder and Fury who looked like Wank in his last 2 fights
