I honestly think its because the afore mentioned boxers talk absolute shite, and people just get tired of em..
Misrepresentation eh? You'll be saying I'm misquoting you next atsch Sink or swim was going a bit over the top, I got emotional. But the way I see it he took a step forward with Limond, two back with Lawton, half a step forward from Lawton to Earl, another half forward from Earl to St Clair, two back with Kristjansen, before taking off the stabilizers and facing a stylistic threat in Gomez, a step forward Oh, and he's two back with Prescott To top it all off, hardly any of them could punch and were virtually clones of each other except for Gomez We aren't asking for the earth here, Thaxton would do :-(
I'd never accuse a fine, upstanding poster like yourself of "misquoting". BTW has anyone though of posting a question about Prescott on the Hispanic board (or whatever its called)?
i'm a boxing fan first and favour those who practice the sweet science the way i like it, slipping, fading, shoulder rolling (sweet pea and heral graham) over the limited brawlers. however it would foolish not to admit there's an obvious attraction to fighters from your neck of the woods. khan- fan of his fight game, but early days calzaghe-my favorite british fighter at the moment, throws from different angles, high workrate, slick. you can't not be a fan hatton-not a fan of his fight game, straight lines, leads with hooks, hugs, just ugly to watch. but good for boxing because of his personality haye- reckless, doesn't fight like a student of the game. however styles make fights and if he was fighting sam peter i would be rooting for haye, but james toney and i would want toney to school him
Used to be Calzaghe, Hatton and Haye... Now it's just Calzaghe for various reasons. Didn't like Khan from the start.
Could I just remind people that Hattons last fight was highly enjoyable - even the yanks agreed! :deal This content is protected
Lazcano wasn't terrible by his standards, I think I voted yes. He actually did some boxing, which is always a bonus, in a boxing match.
Hatton and Haye yes, I'll always root against khan but with calzaghe im gonna have to root against him this time as jones is my favourite fighter.
I support Hatton and Calzaghe no matter what. I couldnt give two shits whether Khan or Haye do both are arrogant pricks and they arent my cup of tea.
Yeah I support all of them unreservedly. Which is a bit stupid I suppose but I was brought up to support the British fighters. I have criticisms of each of them but cheer them on against foreign opposition? Without a doubt.
i always want any british boxer to win whoever they are, but i must admit i used to be a massive fan of hatton, but now he pisses me off alot at times. Calzaghe has been fantastic for british boxing, but his career will soon be over, and the other two are the future excitment over the next few years im sure haye heavyweight champion!
I root for Haye, he's not bad to watch and I like the fact that he took risks on the way up. Khan I'm indifferent to, He's good to watch but he's protected. Hatton and Calzaghe I always root for the other guy, I find both their styles quite ugly, Hatton in particular-he's a very dirty fighter. They both got the treatment Khan's getting now for most of their careers
anyone that knows boxing knows haye is a student of the game, he is clearly a quality boxer. slipping, fading, shoulder rolling, that describes hayes defence.
Calzaghe and Haye are my favs. Khans ok, but don't think he'll get far. Hattons also one of my favs, but think hes abit overrated.
