Haye is the most watchable for me, I just like his style and combination of natural athleticism and technical skill. Plus the slight questions over his chin just adds to the excitement and he's not afraid to put it all on the line. Hatton is a little predictable but still had the balls to break from FW and go after the big fights. Again, puts it on the line. Calzaghe....Great talent but he's never been hungry enough. For some reason expected all the big names to come to him right from the start to challenge for his lesser WBO title for less money than they could get for fighting more recognised fighters for more money in the states. I just wish he'd gone out there and established himself internationally earlier - then he could have sat back and watched them all line up in his backyard. Still...got to give him a lot of credit for his more recent fights and the fact that he managed to continue his career after destroying his hands early on. Khan....Like his raw talents.... Very disappointed he stayed with Warren and picked the only trainer from his shortlist who would move to the UK so he could stay under Warrens umbrella. After 19 fights and all the coverage (and FWs suing of Cal) I don't believe he isn't aware of whats going on with his career. I think he just doesn't have the nerve to leave home and restart his career in the states - he's still a little boy. Got a horrible feeling he's going to fall way short of his potential. He's about where he should have been after 10 fights and accepting PPV on his next fight lost him my support forever.
I didn't compare Khan to any of the other 3, I made no point about Haye, JC or Hatton. I'm holding Khan up to the exposure he gets and the benefits that come with it. Since he fought Willie Limond, he's made no noticable step up in class IMO, in his last fight he took on a shot-to-hell SFW Michael Gomez (who put him on his arse) and if it wasn't for the gutsy effort from Gomez, Khan would be getting even more stick for it. After the Gomez fight I thought "right, that get's some of the padding out the way surely, maybe we'll see some good competition" What do we get?? Breidis Prescott!! Some Columbian no-ones heard of with a padded out KO record to look good for the casual fans AND they have it on Sky PPV. Oh look, he has almost the same record as Khan, that must mean he's a real opponent. :bart At this stage of his career, I would be expecting him to be making some serious noises about a British or even a European title. When he does that I'll support him.
