No Hagler foolishly gave away the first 4 rounds it's his own fault he lost a close fight.

Bud would compete with anybody, no telling how it might end…it’s boxing. Bud has as good a chance as anybody else that’s in the upper echelon, he’s as complete a fighter as you’ll see.

Crawford has shown a lot in the eye-test to indicate that he might be able to hang with the 4 Kings, based on skillset etc - but based on resume, he hasn't been in the ring with any fighter even close to SRL/Hearns or Duran (never mind Hagler at middleweight) to have anyone make him a favourite.

Crawford hasn't yet needed to really show his ceiling - and whilst he DID beat Madrimov, it was a close cagey affair and I don't think he showed in that fight the ceiling / gears needed to hang with SRL etc

Crawford hasn't had an elite ATG level dance partner to really cement his legacy - probably why he is taregtting Canelo (along with the payday!)

    To avoid confusion

Ray Robinson = Sugar Ray Robinson

    Benny Leonard = Leonard

    Ray Leonard = Sugar Leonard

    Thank you

Bud Crawford is a handful for anyone, but, Leonard in his prime at 147 is a top ATG. The only fighter most people consistently rank over him at that weight is Ray Robinson. Crawford is a great fighter , but there's a thin level of all time greats above him and Leonard is one of them .

In what world are Duran, Hearns, Benitez, and Hagler “lesser skilled”? The ****?

    Oscar beat Tito ffs.

Bud would be an underdog versus SRL but a live underdog. I'd bet SRL stoppage but Bud was pretty special at 147 so who knows.

No ATG beats every other ATG. They all take losses.

SRL beat all the guys you mentioned although not sure what weight RJJ and SRL couldve met at...but SRL never popped for PEDs that I do know.

You cannot compare the level of competition both guys faced e.g. Leonard facing some the greatest of all time like Duran, Hagler, Hearns, Benitez etc. I am not a Leonard because I was a fan of his major opponents however it’s very difficult and almost impossible to see Leonard losing at Welterweight certainly the best version of himself.

Let's also take the recency bias out of the equation as well.
