He would become the undefeated, undisputed hw champ inside 25 fights:

    Beaten 3 undefeated world champs

Knocked out the previous eras ATG

The hilarious thing is, imo, he's one fight away from becoming a top 10 atg heavyweight

Not in my top 10, not now. Wilder doesnt have enough top scalps on his resume to make AJ jump into the top 10 yet.

Would a win over Wilder boost AJ a fair bit? Yes, no doubt.

Becoming undisputed obviously does wonders for his legacy but let's be honest Wilder isn't that good, he has one good win on his resume where he was being out boxed and was badly hurt. Beating Wilder wouldn't put Joshua anywhere near my top 10. Plenty of boxers have become undisputed heavyweight champion and wouldn't break the top 20 let alone the top 10.

Also Fury is lineal, if Fury looks good on his come back he could very well be a much stiffer challenge than Wilder. That win could do more for Joshua's legacy than Wilder.

Absolutely nowhere near top 10, at all.

A lot of defeated HW's are better than undefeated HW champions, so that's a largely meaningless notion. 41 year old past prime Wlad will still be his best win. Parker is decent, nothing more, nothing less. Charles Martin was garbage. Wilder has proven to be much better than I expected (in some ways, not in others) but he still isn't a world class fighter, IMO

we are rushing too fast to make guys great.. You cannot be great after 3 fights. Greatness takes many years of domination...

I agree that I'd put more weight on him beating fury than wilder.
Wilder... What can you say about him... He's a maverick
As far as we know he's a glass cannon, or if not made of glass, maybe rubber or something
We'll just have to see how it plays out
And of course it depends on HOW he wins and what the fight is like

Maybe he loses from a cut, and wilder gets the belts

first unified defending champion since wlad, first largely undisputed since Lewis.

Welcome back to the HW championship scene.

IF it happens, and Josh needs to improve if his best performance is a late KO of 42 year old man.

I think he is undisputed best heavyweight UNTIL we gauge furys form upon his return.

P4p wise you would have to put him top 10 i think

Fury is a complete wild card

His return could be lackluster and his stock drops

He could come back motivated more then ever and thats a scary thought if you are an AJ fan as i think if he comes back in the same form as he has shown us in the wlad fight then you would consider him the fav to win that megafight

Hell theres a decent chance fury relapses and goes back into a loopy and public retirement, which is would be a damn shame

Question is where would it put Wilder if he beats AJ!
    40-0 at least a 98% KO rate
an Olympic gold medalist to his list of scalps
Two undefeated and most dangerous fighters in this era to his record
...fairly impressive! even if he's faced subpar opponents for most of the 40, Artur Spzilka, Arreola, the first version of Stiverne he beat, Ortiz and potentially AJ is suddenly looking a very decent list

If either AJ or Wilder add the likes of Povetkin, Joyce (olympic silver medalist), Pulev, Whyte etc after getting the win then yes I'd see them as an ATG heavyweight

Ali, Louis, Foreman, Holmes, Lewis, Wlad, Tunney, Holyfield, Tyson, Frazier, Marciano, Norton, Holyfield - that's 13 off the top of my head without giving it any real thought

If he beats Wilder and then dominates for some more years, then sure we can discuss being in the top 10. One good win (potentially two) doesn't put you into the top 10, especially when you've looked as beatable as he has. That doesn't mean he isn't a very good heavyweight, he just hasn't beaten the right calibre of fighter frequently enough for me.
