if he looks really good in defeating and maybe finishing JMM (if that happens of course) and puts on a better or more exciting show than mayweather did, giving the fact that its at a better weight for JMM, how will this affect khans p4p standing? im not obviously saying top 10 or anything, but do you think a good show would propell him in most peoples eyes ?

It would definatley make people stand up and take notice of the guy if he finishes JMM.

As for p4p he would still be a long way off, seen as he would only have 1 name on his record.

Also i dont know if anyone agrees but i think Mayweather could have got JMM out of there if he really wanted to or was pushed to.

JMM is a fighter of such calibre and high-standing in the sport that I think the immediate reaction would be that JMM is completely done, and Khan wouldn't get a huge amount of credit for it.

It depends on JMM's performance really; if anything Khan would look better in scraping through a tough, hell of a night, getting up off the canvas at least once, to win convincingly, rather than just whitewashing JMM. Maybe?

khan is just to quick and if hes got his head in the game with the write game plan hes trouble and would IMO beat everyone at 140

but unfourtunatly by khan beating JMM peaple will just say hes finished rather than khan beat a (past prime grated) marquez

JMM is shot and Amir Con will dominate him. The hype will be unbearable.

Keep in mind JMM went life and death with Juan Diaz who got his ass kicked TWICE by a cross dresser with cotton balls for fists.

Against Kotelnik. he wobbles in the 11th round from a non-spectacular left hand after being defensive and relatively unscathed the whole night. His legs, technique, and ringsmarts may have gotten better, but it looks like his chin is still made of glass.

Also, while he's got a great jab, he lowers his right hand EVERY time he throws it. Marquez has shown he can handle speed, and a mistake like that against one of the best counterpunchers in the sport can be deadly. Marquez is at a disadvantage with age and weight, but Khan will not walk through him.

If he beats Marquez, regardless under what conditions, he will be considered to have passed another test at climbing to greatness.

i think marquez is a worldclass fighter, and i don't regard khan as a worldclass fighter just yet, so i'll be impressed if khan dominated and stopped marquez. i would then like to see khan fighting his mandatories in his own weight division like he should be doing.

Everyone? Hmmmm? I dont know 140 is pretty stacked right now!

I do not think Khan beats JMM I just do not see it! I think he is for the fight of his life. Even if he wins then he is still outside of the top 10 p4p list imo!

I think Mayweather just wanted to get the rounds under his belt rather than worry about stopping him.

i agree, i won't rate him as high as top 10 p4p mainly because khan hasn't even shown he's the best in his own weight division let alone top ten in the world, but it'll be very impressive if he dominates marquez.

Nah in the second half of the fight Mayweather tried to stop Marquez but he wasn't good enough to do it.

It depends on the nature of the victory. One thing to be thankful for is at least with the fights taking place in the US, we will be less likely to see the classic Frank Warren referee stoppages based on a few Khan flurries

When? I don't remember him ever going for the kill in that fight, the reason I can remember this is because I had money on Mayweather stopping him.
