**** thats a bad story although i know plenty of people that have lost houses and so on, still though cutting it out completely cold is going to be hard because i enjoy the punt and playing its only really last couple weeks thats gone bad like i.e. doing a big amount day after day .....
it kind of offset the winnings from a few weeks ago i managed to suit it three times and colour it twice to win 7 grand..... so now that half of that money is spent on the car clothes and so on and half is spent on gambling i think its fair i go back to my normal routines...
its rite when they say its a curse because its very hard to leave once you are down some money some people cant accept loosing at all im like that... in sports in all way of life.... but i know now never take a keycard out when your going st. george leagues....
and they say there going broke how is it going broke when theres atleast another 100 idiots in there all time doing the same thing??

    Mate i hear your pain.

I once was close to addiction with gambling from Grehounds to horses to pokies to sports betting etc.....luckily after going through years of pain i finally woke up one day and said fuxck it....... i do still have an occasional bet (especially when i've had a few beers) but not nearly as much as before.

As you get older you cherish things like your relationship with family and friends too much to throw it away.

One of my best mates is a stock broker on around 250k a year and he is addicted to all forms of gambling, especially pokies.... he goes to GA but it hasn't worked for him.

He said at the begining it did work, but after getting it off your chest in front of everybody after a while u slip back into a deep depression and back to your old habits. He doesn't know the answer yet and nor do i.

Good luck with it and don't forget the impact it really has on people close to you.

im actually not that bad where family and friends are impacted..... i would never let myself gamble if i knew it was hurting my family or friends, i would put them before myself always, just how i am..... i do it socially then sometimes you get into a zone and then you just have to kick it back to doing it socially.....
theres one piece of advice i give to people now i dont follow it myself your mate earns that much coin a year take him into a ferrari delearship and say now do you want one of these babies or do you want the cleopatra machine..... what will give you more satisfaction....
anywayz guys todays is day one of a new form for me... i will keeps youse updated and let youse know how i go.... hopefulyl in a week or two i can proudly say ive only spent 50 dollars or something....

the **** thing is that you always get a big win early in your pokie career and keep chasing that feeling.
