Serious ? : What do british people think of Khan?

Call me racist whatever. Don't really relate to Khan with him being Asian and not having many British-Asian friends myself, he always comes across with that typical attitude of thinking he's from some ghetto. Like when he kept saying to Paul McCloskey "Im the king" and something about be careful who your talking to, just is cringeworthy. Ah well he will definitely go far. But I would go crazy if he got sparked like he did against Prescott.

 

That's not true at all, I'd say the issue with Khan nationality wise is more to do with the time he spends in the States and his dissing of Britain.

He's probably one of the biggest draws in the UK, it's nonsense to say the British public don't like him, there are few other boxers who have got the attention he has had. For example, everyone knows who Khan is after winning a silver medal, I doubt 1 in 100 of the British public know who gold medalist James Degale is.

He's made a huge amount of money out of British fans, figures the likes of Carl Froch (who's done more in the game) could only dream of. To say he's hated by the British public is a total nonsense, it's hard to find another boxer who has done less and been rewarded so highly (Audley Harrison excluded).

Sure there are racist nutters and folk who try to pretend he's not liked, but the fact is he's pretty much the most well known and popular boxer in the UK right now. He's a far bigger name than Carl Froch.

 

While Sky have booted him too apparently. Is this a financial thing or other reasons? I heard he only did 50k for the McCloskey fight before Sky did a u-turn.

 

Well few boxers actually get on SKY PPV, Khan is one of the very few who has.
