Give him a few more years under roach and well see where he goes. Seems to have accomplished a hell of a lot for a guy who was sparked by a nobody.

I'm not a big fan of Khan & dont know too many people who are. He does have a good following & he gets plenty of attention in the press but he doesnt enjoy the same level of support as Bruno or Hatton despite his successes.

Khan does a lot of charitable work, doesnt drink & is a world class fighter, sadly some of his team dont help his public personna with their antics. Imo he just doesnt have the charisma or personality to endear him to the general public to the extent that many other British boxers have done.

Though I am not from the UK, I liked Jon Thaxton's last name more than Amir Khan's.

Mostly seen as a delusional arrogant misguided show off.

And i'd imagine most would think he'd fight for ****stan f there were ever a war between england and ****stan.

Your american immigrants embrace your flag and culture more so than european.

A lot of British people dont like him because of the colour of his skin and his religion, thats a fact.

I personally dont like him because he is surrounded by, and advised by a bunch of arrogant, incompetent ****wits who are seemingly driving a young, talented fighter into commercial oblivion. The biggest TV network wont touch him, his associates seem to sit on Twitter slagging off said TV network, as well as other boxers and promoters

He needs to **** off the yes men, and get himself a good accountant and manager, because I fear the leeches around him are shafting him financially

im in manchester, bolton, where amir is from is but 8 miles away.amir is known by the general public, and if he was on terrestial tv, the viewing figures would be huge.Saying that though, with him being asian, he doesnt have a large following at his fights, mostly asian lads, the asian "hatton type" following, meaning they know **** all about boxing.good luck to them..At the barrera fight, three quarters of the sold out crowd wanted barrera to win,not out of hate for amir, just that marcos a legend at the majority of the crowd , that night were proper boxing fans. Some times amir is his own worse enemy when he runs his mouth, but thats his age i think.i like him.Hes a credit to his town and family, and hes exciting to watch.

Khan is the best in Britatin no doubt, Froch has reached his limit.... Whilst Khan will imrpove leaps and bounds.

Apart from Haye, he is by far the most famous in the UK by a mile.

He is liked by all races otherwise he wouldn't be selling out arenas or have the viewing figures like he does. No doubt he has haters and also an element of hate on him is due to his race.

Also you got to remember the views on this forums differ from the general public. Look how much hate guys like Pacquiao get.... He's probably the most loved guy in boxing today!

If Khan is serious about becoming a superstar, he should (with a lot of publicity) convert to Christianity, preferably of the Anglican variety.

Hilarious I'm sure but the fact remains most people don't like him or care about him because they don't like or care about a country that hates the west and does things like hide and protect bin laden and bomb our citizens.

Hates the West? I'm sure they got nothing against Chile, Mexico, Brazil, Argentina, Venezuela and many other western countries.

He's one of the most gifted British fighters for some time but he has almost no ring intelligence. Even from his amateur days I knew his skill set would best suit a counter punching style but he all to often instigates the action and that's why he got KO'ed by Prescott and why he looked terrible against McCloskey.

If it were not for Roach he would have another loss on his record. He needs to realise he is not a brawler and be the boxer he should have always been.

This is very true. I hear the racism all the time when his fights have been on at the pub. They call him a muslim ******* and say he will "never be British". Khan won't care about those bums though. He's rich and successful.

i was sceptical of khan at the start and hated his off balance/ falling forward with punches style. he had the obvious attributes but no one taught him how to fight. down versus gomez, down and 'out' against limond as everyone told me he was the second coming!
first couple of fights with roach and i thought he looked great and i really enjoyed the maidana fight. but, mcloskey made him look ****..

i'm not sold on him as a fighter. as a person i think he's a cocky twat. p issed me off that he was slagging of kell brook for fighting n'dou.

i don't really see the point of him fighting morales either. whats the point in fighting an older man who is past his best, who lost to the guy that you beat (maidana)
