Seriously, besides Ward, who does GGG have to fight?

cotto wont fight him...canelo would be ok...im actually ok with lara but the ggg superfans seemed to think that was no challenge and terrible when it was suggested ggg was afraid and ducking lara....so ill throw that out based on the ggg superfans merit and keen eye for talent(complete sarcasm obviously)......degale would be ok...jack ehhh i guess....

but basically he should be fighting ward now....but we know he isnt...too bad....he just another cherrypicker

 

Why should he be fighting Ward now? To give him a free handout against a smaller guy? Nah.

He'll move up on his own terms and when Ward is actually worth fighting.

 

None of those guys are on the "A" list. The Lower Case G needs to fight someone who's on the "A" list...

 

ward isnt going to become any more "worthy" to fight ggg unless he fights kovalev and beats him...thats the only way ward becomes "big enough " to deserve ggg fight(which is ludicrous ggg fanboy logic).....and if ward does that you can believe ggg wants no part of him after that anyway like he does now

Trippe-bum-lover-little-gunit- fought only pre-****scent kids, old ladies and stray animals. I for one can not understand why he did not yet fight Ward that was always there at 160 waiting for him. Or why he has been avoiding Klitschko for so long?

 

He's been patiently waiting for his shot since Martinez/Sturm days, he's more than earnt it. (Nearing 3-4 years now). It's been a total injustice in boxing that he still hasn't received it.

Ward can become bigger by simply fighting other RELEVENT SMWs on actual TV networks that people watch, doing something...

So far, all he's been doing for the past year is BEGGING for a smaller man to move up and give him a free ticket because he's signed with such a **** promoter there's nobody else for him, and he obviously doesn't want to move up. It's quite pathetic in all honesty.

before you say "why arent you asking ward to go up"? i am...but at least ward has beaten solid opposition and cleaned out 168 at one point....there will come a time i wont give ward a pass unless hes fought kovalev or stevenson....but hes coming off a layoff and getting his feet back under him.....and the fight should happen now because once ward does go up to 175 he might not come back down....and if he beats those guys ggg will not want any part(ok well he already doesnt)of a guy beating the top dogs at 175

i dont disagree that ggg has been done an injustice....the thing is...he might want to start taking a look at the writing on the wall....because theres no real guarantee(other than some stupid wbc decree which we know they dont have to abide by) that hell get that shot anytime real soon anyway.......so he better start doing something.....your destiny is in your own hands....make a real fight...a big fight....or risk staying the same course possibly for the next year or two.....at that point ggg will be close to a lost cause if he stays this course

ward doesnt have to beat relevant 168 guys on network tv....that doesnt make him any bigger....sorry i just disagree with that...ward is already big in the sport....hes not getting any bigger other than beating kovalev and stevenson....and like i said...once he does that you can def rule out a ggg fight.....and you already can rule it out unless ward starts to look old and terrible at some point in the next 7 years and ggg pulls a calzaghe on a washed up roy(yes im aware ward is younger)

Anyhow.

Ward took his time at 168, and beat the who's who.
GGG is just on his path to beat the who's who. Why would he rush? And don't worry about his age, he has almost no wear and tear, he will go till 38 no problem. He needs to get all the belts. Get himself a few ppv fights. Finish off the cotto-canelo winner (or get the wbc belt). Then move up to 168, fight progressive stronger opposition until he is ready to take on Ward.

In words of J.R.Tolkien (slightly revised), one does not simply move up to 168 to challenge Ward. He is rightly a #2 p4p, his skill set is very impressive and his resume is action packed with best fighters of this generation.

ward said he talked to loeffler and told him to stop spreading lies and stop acting like theyve wanted the fight.....and he said loeffler agreed and apologized and tried to place the blame on abel sanchez saying it was him that was talking alot of ****.....i find that funny...whether or not you believe ward i dunno...but i thought it was telling

 

Of course it's all the more reason for him to move up lol, that's what fighters have always done, they establish themselves in one division, then move up. That's how it's always been, of course some fighters remain in their division and there's nothing wrong with that either! But between Golovkin and Ward who SHOULD move up it's of course Ward, there's no question about that.
