Seriously, besides Ward, who does GGG have to fight?

It wouldn't surprise me because Sanchez has been talking a lot of **** and they needed to tell him to calm down. (Which he now has done it seems).

 

the "whos who" of 160 is pretty rubbish imo...and in most peoples...lemeiux has been beaten by rubio and alcine...a good fighter doesnt lose to those guys....im not interested in hearing how much lemieux has improved....hes just a fresh face with some pop in his hands...but hes not anything

quillin isnt anything.....lee is ok...but lets face it...if he beats lee no one is going to be suprised or amazed......cotto wont fight him...canelo might and that would be cool...but theres no guarantee of that either.....so the whos who of 160 doesnt look promising......theres no froch or kessler on it...maybe a canelo...but thats still a big maybe....and if he doesnt get that canelo then hes got nothing

if hes established in the 168 division why does he have to fight relevant 168 fighters on network tv to make himself relevant for a ggg fight? lets face it...thats just a lame excuse you made up...that doesnt need to happen

and thats fine if thats your logic about establishing yourself and moving up...and thats what ive been saying about ggg...hes established....no one disputes hes the best at 160......fighting cotto wont prove anything because we know cotto isnt a middleweight...only fight that would mean anything there is canelo....id like to see it...but i cant guarantee it happens.....he might be waiting on something that will never come....thats why he should take ward now and guarantee a real fight....but hes afraid to lose and ruin the gravy train....we know this is why......if he doesnt get canelo...man hes going to be on the outside looking in......will be great watching him fight heiland on hbo ppv for a vacant belt

 

Until the who's who face him he's not moving up (unless it's for massive amount of cash), Ward wouldn't have either if say Kessler and Froch were ducking him, that's for sure.

Peril is right, fighters don't "simply move up", they move up when the time is right and for Golovkin it's not right at the moment. (I even said the same for Froch fight).

 

Ward isn't credible because he's had 2 fights in 3 years. He is more or less retired.

 

He needs to fight relevent opposition on network TV to get his name out again due to his inactivity. Ward is right now is in some limbo, fans don't know what he's doing, he doesn't know what he's doing, he's just some dude on the sidelines.

 

man imagine the scenario where....canelo and cotto fight in nov....then rematch next year at some point or floyd/canelo fight rematch for the 160...and floyd wins and then vacates.....and ggg is fighting heiland on hbo for the vacant belt claiming "unification" and still nobody worth a damn on his resume....and ward is at 175 fighting kovalev or stevenson...or both....and cementing his legacy......i could see that happening just as much as i could see ggg getting the cotto/canelo winner

you guys need to stop acting like ward isnt credible...hes a name in the sport and a top 3 p4p with a solid resume......stop making up some excuse like he isnt a name....like he isnt credible.....thats ridiculous and you guys are saying it so much i fear you actually might start believing it....its the lamest excuse ive heard.....ward/ggg is a big fight in the sport if its made...right now...plain and simple....hell never be "just some dude on the sidelines"

 

If Cotto/Canelo duck him for a rematch and he gets his belt, then fights say Andy Lee to unify completely. And Ward stays busy in the mean time, I don't see why that fight cannot happen. However, if Ward continues his bull**** of not fighting anyone relevant and barking Golovkin's name out in every fight hype interview hoping that will keep him in the eyes of the public, then I doubt Golovkin is going to move up to fight him.

 

if ward is up at 175 by the time ggg has gotten his oh so valuable "belt" and fighting andy lee...then the distance between them is even greater.....it gets even harder to make especially if ward is handling light heavies.....ward will be going to 175...thats why this fight is important to make now...its far more important than a lemieux fight and ggg getting a vacant belt down the line and fighting lee........ggg beating someone for a vacant belt and fighting lee proves nothing to us...we both know that....we already know ggg is better than a heiland...better than lee......you guys are just building every excuse for ggg to hide from an elite, prime, a level challenge

Why do you care? Let Golovkin unify the 160 division, break Hopkins defense record, then move into 168. If Ward is around then great, if not then who cares.

Wards manager said he won't let Ward fight Kovalev right away, he would need a few fights at 175 before the Kovalev fight. You haters don't seem to fuss about that.

Golovkin has enough fans to watch him fight whomever, with or without your support, so lay off the crack pipe.

The fight is not going to happen now though, the only way this fight will happen is if Golovkin unifies/becomes the lineal champion and Ward stays busy fighting big names to get his name out again for Golovkin it to be worth the risk/reward in moving up to fight him. Really, that's the only way I see it happening.

If Ward decides to move up by then and never come down or they can't negotiate something afterwards (say a CW) then I doubt it will happen, I don't think Ward will move up though.

I hope he can sort the issues with his promotion, get Jack, get DeGale and then we'll see a far bigger clash between him and Golovkin.
