Seriously, besides Ward, who does GGG have to fight?

Id say that's a B+ level fighter, but to each their own I guess. A c level is a gatekeeper to me and I don't think Lemieux is that, at least not yet. Point is Lemiuex isn't a tomato can.

    OK.

In my view, a B-level fighter isn't the same as a B-level champion.

    Semantics.

Fair enough, I guess. However beating the record defenses at middleweight is more important for his legacy than a fight with Ward, even if the fight with Ward proves more.

I'd like to see him fight Quillin, Trout, Lee, Daniel Jacobs, then move to 168

My head hurts from the stupidity.

Alfonso Blanco also just moved up the middleweight. He's the guy that beat James Degale in the amateurs.

Although, none of the guys I've listed are tomato cans you idiot.

Uh, no. That's a stupid statement. You don't beat a guy like N'Dam and be called mediocre. This might be ESB, but still. :patsch

I find it weird how nobody mentions that win, it's a good one. It's pretty much Quillin's best win (who for some reason is viewed as legit opponent but Lemieux is a can).

Golovkin is about to shine in his first PPV with only bigger paydays and events to follow that will have nothing to do with Ward. He has marginalized Ward's worth in this sport.

Beating b level titleholder after another is no legacy man

Imagine Miguel cotto staying in one division and beating the Branco brother and otkay urkal over and over for his entire career....what kind of legacy is that ....that's no legacy ....it's just a waste

We know why he wont fight ward......I personally would give him major props for the fight even in a loss.....might even make him look vulnerable and get guys like canelo in there with him for sure....and he could still go back and dominate 160

Dude stop with all the BS. Ward is not a viable opponent for GGG, Ward is not a viable opponent for anyone because he DOES NOT FIGHT.

It's a lot harder to go back down in weight. In his last fight, Ward didn't even fight at SMW, ffs. Why go up when it's not even a sure thing Ward can still make SMW. As an example, Walters thought he could still make featherweight after coming in over the limit his last fight.

Golovkin will get props for KO'ing Cotto/Canelo winner. Who cares what you think. The boxing public, that matters, will give Golovkin props for becoming undisputed king of the middleweight division. He can afford to wait for Cotto/Canelo while fighting guys like Lee, Korobov, Johnson, etc.

Or Ward could just get ktfo by Kovalev.

SOB Ward refused to fight Stevenson after being called out live on HBO. Stevenson even said that he would fight Ward at 168, so where is Ward?! Ward claimed he would beat the Klitschkos, but he never signed at contract to fight either one of them.................Duva has been trying to get Ward to fight Kovalev, but Ward refuses, Ward claims that Kovalev is too big, yet 175 is Ward's natural weight..............Golovkin weighs in at 159 for his fights, Ward would weight nearly 200 lbs., for the fight, while Golovkin can still fight at 154......................ask Golovkin to go up 9 lbs., yet Ward won't go up 3 lbs. and fight Kovalev, or even fight Stevenson at 168.

Golovkin has Lemieux next, then he will be the mandatory for the winner of Cotto/Alvarez. Remember, Golovkin was the mandatory for Cotto, but Cotto refused to fight him, so is paying Golovkin step-aside money for to keep from getting knocked out by Golovkin.....................Golovkin would love to fight Andy Lee, Quillin, Jacobs, etc., the big money is at 160, not at 168...................Ward refused a big money fight with Stevenson................besides, Ward will only fight in his home town with his personal referee, judges, boxing commission, etc..............and get most of the money................no way, let Ward fight Stevenson, Kovalev, Beterbiev and others that are in his own weight division.................

Quite stupid, as I posted that Ward and his fans were living in 2012. Every fight you mentioned-Alcine, Kessler, Froch, Rubio-was all over by the end of 2011, not 2012, as I'd originally posted.

I fear you may be stuck in a time warp, and worse than I thought.

While this is traumatic, I have to try and pull you out of it: Here, in 2015-land, Ward-Kessler was 6 years ago. The others were 4 years ago. These things tend not to carry too much weight in 2015 for fights being targeted for 2016.

In that time span, a man from a country many Americans can't pronounce or spell became a bigger draw not only in Ward's country, but in Ward's own state.

Ward's usefulness to you is only to the extent that he's the last hope to quash that. Were you genuinely interested in "legacy", you'd be a little more concerned about how Ward has done nothing in 3 years to enhance his.

Then again, 3 years ago is still in the future for a man living in 2011, so I may be playing unfair here. My humble apologies. :good
