Seriously, besides Ward, who does GGG have to fight?

My post history on Ward backs up that I've been calling on him to be more active for years, and I've defended his choice to stay at 168 even when people thought the division was thin. There's nothing wrong with building a Hagler, Hopkins, or Monzon-like reign at a single class. Ward gets credit from me, but he's capable of so much more, that it's frustrating.

This is prize fighting. You fight often, even if it's against boxers you should outclass, and people will pay attention. Do it consistently, and people pay money.

This isn't rocket science. Fans don't want to hear Andre complain about why he'll get no credit if he beats world class fighters (he has) so he's not going to bother to fight them. All they want is someone to fight more than once every other year and give them a good show. GGG went all in on that plan, and it's paying dividends.

The blueprint is obvious and time-tested. Yet every now and then, you wind up with a Winky or Ward that feels like they're too entitled to keep playing the game anymore once they taste world-class success. That's fine. It's their career. But they (and their fans) can't expect them to remain more popular than the fighters that do, or pretend that doesn't matter because you think it shouldn't.

These rules weren't made up by some random schlub on the internet. That's how the sport works.

So, keep on posting about how scared GGG is and how he's somehow ducking a man in a weight class he's never fought in. That's the only entertainment value you'll get from him for awhile. Lord knows how long you'll be waiting to have an Andre Ward fight to look forward to and post about.

    Cheers. :good

So a sub-A list fighter beat Dirrell and made Ward stick his head in the sand when he called Ward out? Interesting. What does that say about the guy he beat and the guy that can't bring himself to respond to DeGale's challenge?

Figure i would fill you in on the guys 'he should have fought' while he was making sure "he didn't bite off more than he could chew" Everyone on your list somewhat avoided or outright ducked him except Pirog.

C'mon man. This board is full of posters claiming Cotto is 'the man' at 160.

It's not that they believe in Cotto, they just hate this Kazakh guy because of his over excited fan base and in some cases nationality/skin colour.

What does any of this have to do with the FACT that Bumlovkin needs to fight someone on the "A" list?

Exhibit A for Shockmaster to see.

    Quick questions:

    a) Do you think he's actually ever going to be willing to step into a ring with GGG at 160?

    b) If he does find the stones to take him on, do you think he has any chance of not being obliterated?

"The Man" at 160 has refused to face his mandatory for a second time in a row, with first exception being a drained Golovkin leftover in Geale, although the second is reasonable (big PPV fight Mexico-VS PR)

makes perfect sense, Cotto is "The Man' at 160
