There is no way Hopkins would beat Haye... none. Maybe if this was the Hopkins from the Pavlik fight, but even then... Haye has decent timing to go along with his speed, and his outside game and lateral movement, along with his speed, would give Hopkins fits... Then when Hopkins felt Hayes power and strength, he would become very, very defensive. Hopkins would probably last the distance, and he would win some rounds.... but not enough at all to win the decision. And if Hopkins last two fights are any indication, i think if this fight were to happen he might get stopped for the first time. Hops, imo, is done on the elite level.
Haye does seem to have gotten lazy. He was sporting a Hatton-like gut in the pictures of him at the charity event. I think he stopped being a pride fighter and is happy being a prize fighter. Which is fine; its his life, his career, and his health. If he can make a good living fighting less than the best, more power to him. But it also means he loses his chance at being considered one of the greats. And for all we know, he may be just fine with that. I just wish the belt wasn't on his waist. The division needs an undisputed champ. And yes, that means I also wish the K bros would either fight each other, or have Vitali give up the belt. Edit - Did he just complain about people talking ****? And looks like he lost the gut.
Haye would destroy Hopkin's comfortably at this point in their career's so no, Haye didn't duck Hopkins. As someone else said it would be a lose/lose situation and he could make more money fighting Harrison.
Seriously I couldn't care less if he fought Audley or Hopkins equally meaningless fights... Now where is that free porn threadstarter promised :?
"deadly serious " thats awesome i think haye would hurt bhop though , but never count out a odb like b hop
It may not be a better fight but in all honesty, I do believe Bernard would have a better chance of beating Haye than Harrison! As ludicrous as that sounds, think about it! Hopkins will be a better technician at 60 than Harrison is now! Audley is probably not going to improve much, if at all, at his age! He really should have kept the momentum going after the Olympics in 2000!
