Nonsense, the man lost fair and square. I will point out that it looked as though something was bothering him....Besides Bernard. I watched it 4 times and i came to these conclusions:

He bet againts himself
He took a dive
He was actually recovering from some illness or injury
He got schooled

Anyway yeah something was definately up.....

He's better than that.


Maybe Golden Boy bought him out and is going to sign him in the future...

but the point is he lost wasnt himself and was exposed.

 

No doubt, I graduated from Georgia Southern University and Youngstown was in our division. Good People in Youngstown. Simple, good, down to earth americans. Kelly's a good human. How can anyone not like humble, modest, good ole' KP. ****, he just lost to the better fighter that night. Styles make fights. Remember, He's only lost 1 fight and beat a very talented Jermain Taylor twice and also a good brawler in Edison Miranda.

Totally agree NBO. Youngstown's a hard town with good people. Economy there is miserable. I'll be glad when another fight happens so people will back off of poor Kelly.......

 

I would've frowned more upon the whole thing had he just slipped by on points and pulled a Micheal Jordan on us: MJ had the flu every other game in the last half of his career.

Kelly's a gullible MF. The only reason he was talked into taking a fight with Hopkins was to enrich Jack Loew. Actually strike that. Jack Loew is dumb MF to actually think Pavlik not only had a chance against Hopkins (or even Calzaghe for CS!) but that he would dominate and Knock him out. I think that was clearly evidenced when his Plan A was the same as his Plan B which was to double up on the jab and then his Plan C was telling Kelly to do what Calzaghe did. Pathetic.

As for the excuses, all kidding aside, if his camp is seriously trying to purport that these were the reasons he lost, unless he gets a new trainer ASAP, I've lost all respect for the guy.

Had Bernard lost, and gave these kinds of excuses, you Pav fans wouldn't believe a word of it, so why should we believe Pav or any of you? You see, us real fans saw that Hopkins just didn't want to let PAv hit him like he does everyone else. Accept the loss Pav fans, it isn't the end of the world, and we don't believe PAv's excuses or your validations of his excuses.

his trainer flat out said he would never fight over 160 again....they did not want his sickness to leak....the father got sick of people saying he basically sucked and like any father would do he leaked it out...not a big deal...
