well tito always has had a very good left hook and a powerful right hand... roy jones right now is having trouble making weight this can lead him into getting tired in the fight droping his hands for open shots tito can tag him with...and tito can get lucky
I can honesty see Jones afraid to commit to his punches. ...so Trinidad is going to have to be busy, vary the intensity of his attack, and push the intensity full throttle when Jones punches with anything other than a jab. When Jones punches, Trinidad should punch right with him. Trinidad is very good at finding the right timing and space when the opponent throws power. I like Trinidad's chances if Jones is out to look spectacular. The key for a Jones win is to do the same that he did vs Ruiz...circle, jab, and potshot....all this while having a low workrate, just as he did vs Ruiz! The question is if Jones legs can sustain the continous circles he'll have to run around the ring. If Trinidad wins it will be in a firework like display, if Jones wins it will be in a snoozer! Jones better be ready to use his legs or he's getting KTFO!!!
Tito needs to throw LOTS of power punches to get RJJrs respect to win this one. The problem is that I think he can look "ok" doing this for maybe 4 rounds or so, but then will most certainly get gassed from all the extra weight. I don't give Tito much of a chance at all in this fight....
Glen Johnson was able to get to Roy's chin. Tito has a deceptively long left hook. Roy will be out there at long range, jiving, and will drop his hands in typical showmanship mode. Best chance for Tito is to try to place Roy's head into the back row.
Johsnon only got to Roy becuase Roy did nothing in that fight ..This will not be the case come the 19th... And considering Tito has never fought north of 160 ever I realy don't know how Trinidud can win ..Oh wait there is the possibility that Sr.wraps a pair of brass kncickles in Tito's hand wraps ..So there is a chance..
In reality, I see this fight as a couple of old codgers in a streetfight and after a few punches are thrown they asked themselves: "What are we doing this for?" and then go home.
There is no such thing as a miracle shot... a fluke shot... or a lucky shot. This is boxing..punches are thrown..and boxers get punched in the face. I don't think Tito has a chance but if he does happen to KO Jones, I'd give him credit for it the same way I'd give Jones Credit for knocking out Tito.
