Floyd would have taken the 8 million to fight Margarito, but would floyd wanted a guaranteed 10 million to fight Cotto and Hatton where Arum was offering 7.
Floyd also wanted 20 million to fight Oscar, which Arum wanted no part of. So floyd bought his contact from Arum and made 4 time the amount of money Arum was offering for Margarito, Cotto and Hatton, with only the Hatton and oscar fight.

Point being According to Arum Floyd would have taken the 8 mill if not for the low balling of Arum.
