Morales wan't in his prime when he fought Pacquiao. EVERY time he fought Manny, he was coming off a lose and he out grew the division and became weight drained in the last 2 fights. I'll give him credit for the first Barrera fight and marquez even thogh it was a draw and he should've lost the second one

I think we may all be witnessing the career of the greatest boxer ever to lace on a pair of gloves - he is that good.

I've been a boxing fan since the 1970's and I watched the careers of Hagler, Herans, Benitez, Leonard etc etc. I have never seen anyone that has EVERYTHING at his disposal.

You ****ing ******. Berto loses to Margo, Cotto and Clottey in brutal fashion, and probably Hatton too. Who the **** has Berto beaten? I don't think anyone except you really thinks Mosley is any threat to Pac, and neither is Bradley. PWill is fighting at MW, and if Pac fought him at WW all you haters would be saying he's too weight drained.

Seriously. How ****ing stupid are you?

Wow, Paul Williams, Sergio Martinez are now slick fighters!

If Pac fights them, I guess they would be tailor made for him too!

Forget about Mayweather! He is not relevant. He will never fight Pac.

Hatton didn't have any belts because he moved up to welterweight. When Pac fought Hatton, Hatton was unbeaten at 140. Pac fought Hatton at his own weight, in his own country. And smashed him in 2 rounds.

I have no idea if that fight was for the ring belt or not, but Hatton without question was still the man to beat at 140. Yeah, he'd done average at welter, (picked up a belt, lost to Floyd), but he was still the man at 140.

Boxrec doesn't tell the whole story my man.

You should have followed your own link anyway. You know Hatton beat Urango right?

And since then, Pac has gone on and beaten 2 of those 4.

Williams is the clear choice NOW. Hindsight is ****ing magnificent isn't it.

I do agree on one thing. DLH wasn't the best fighter around that weight, he was the more lucrative fight.

I would say the same thing about Floyd fighting him as well. DLH should have retired before his farcical MW fights IMO.

Out of all of the champions you've listed, in those divisions, how many has Floyd fought?

    Zero.

Don't you think it's possible that Floyd might not want to fight Pac? Pac after all, is the one fighting guys that actually have held belts. He's the one fighting bigger guys, not making lightweights fight at welter, and still not making the contracted catchweight.

Williams and Martinez I think are a bridge too far. I think they'd probably beat Pac. You've got a guy weighing in at 148 at fight time. So really, he could easily fight at jr welter, and maybe, maybe, still lightweight.

And guys are giving him **** for not fighting guys who can fight at middleweight easily.

    I mean ****, it's only 20 pounds right?

Random blood tests which will then lead to a fight with Floyd. Win that fight. If he doesn't it was a great run, but he refused random blood testing. Tainted.

It depends how good you think pacman is.

To break the top ten, imo, he has two choices. Beat floyd or unify the lightmiddleweight division. If he wants to be top 5 he could do both. If he wants to be the g.o.a.t he could do both then pick up a title against the lineal middleweight champion.

If however he is happy floating between 25-15 he can continue on the route of low risk - high reward fights i.e. Margo and shane.

I can only speak for myself here, I am not a Pac fan, but I think I would be more of one had I never come in contact with a ******* (I really hate to even use that term because it's so ****ing corny and cliche' but I know of no other way to describe them). That being said, I loved watching him as he was coming up, and I respect the hell out of him as a fighter. I think what he's accomplished is a bit overstated, but it's still better than the vast majority of fighters have or ever will do, regardless how watered down it may be. Just because I don't put him on the pedestal that some do, and typically I end up on the "other" side of most debates in which he's involved, I respect Manny and I appreciate what he's contributed to the sport.

There are a few things that I feel are important, for me to give him my full respect, not that "my respect" is so important but it's what was asked by the TS. First and foremost, I am not sold he's clean, and for me that's a problem. I can't say for certain that he knows if he's clean or not, as it's been stated directly that Manny doesn't know what he takes. I want to clarify, I don't think Manny intentionally cheats the sport, and I don't necessarily think he would intentionally cheat if presented with the opportunity. I don't know that for sure, but based on my perceptions I don't think he would. I don't feel the same about Roach, Ariza, or Arum, Freddie has a history of working with juiced fighters and while he says "I didn't know", you see how involved he is with training his bread winning fighters and I just have a hard time accepting that. Based on Manny's willingness to take the tests, but his camps insistance on not, I get the impression that they know something he doesn't. Physically I see reason to question, the actions of his team have given me reason to question, and until these questions are definitively answered it will be an issue for me.

The second major issue I have is that I would like to see him test himself against various styles and accept different types of challenges. I know and have seen him beat bigger, slower, less technically gifted guys, kudos to him but lets move a different direction. I'd like to see him fight guys like Berto, Khan, Alexander/Bradley, Paul Williams, maybe Martinez not just "black guys" or "bigger" guys, but guys who present different stylistic challenges for him. Guys that can push him in different ways, I hardly imply any or all of the guys listed would/could beat him, it's more I would like to see his style matched against other guys styles. If in fact he does things to cement his legacy as an ATG, I want to be able to say I saw an ATG, his style was tried and true, it was tested against speed, boxers, sluggers, up and comers, champions, desperate fighters, etc etc. I'm not saying he has to take on all those styles, all those guys, but I do want to see the other sides of Manny, I want to be able to appreciate him and respect him, and truth be told I don't know that it's so much him, but the company he keeps that keep him from being what he could possibly be.

I also think he would have to beat PBF, and this is the fight that ultimately must be made for both guys, regardless what anyone says it's going to follow both of them and it's going to tarnish either of their legacies, regardless how stellar they may be aside from this fight. For both of their sakes this has to get done, period.
