So if you knew Pac was going to dominate Margarito, just like the majority of real boxing fans, why would you deem his accomplishment as, "unthinkable"?? Sure, it was a nice win but we've seen the same trick (beating a slow, bigger man who's been damaged) before from Pac. I've made several posts stating the fight would turn out the same way Pac-DLH ended. Had Pac not take his foot off the petal he would've gotten the stoppage in the late rounds. I don't mean any disrespect to anyone but if I'm not crazy about seeing Pac pull a rabbit out of his hat for the 2nd or 3rd time, I shouldn't catch any heat for it. The first time was great. Now let's see something different. Don't you think we deserve to see new tricks? Beating a Berto or a Bradley would be a start.

But hey, if you're enjoying the show then I'll leave you to it. I'm not going to tell you how to spend your money and time. Knock yourself out. I just prefer something different. It's like that old saying, "One man's trash is another man's treasure."

What Toofreddy is saying is subjective. History will believe only one, and that is the history books that Manny beat every one put in front of him.

Keep the 140 pounders as the next superstars. I don't want Manny to ruin their records because they will be the one to carry on boxing in the future. Other than Floyd, Berto may be the only viable left but he is not ready for the Pac.

Forget about Williams and Martinez. Martinez, with even longer reach than Margo at 75" and same height as Margo will be just too much to overcome. Pac will be competitive but it is not worth it if he wants to live a healthy life.

Id like to see him fight a young, prime champion coming off a good win.

    But great post Freddy.....

Pac is a warrior king, in a class all his own. But the heart of the mexicans who made those fights entertaining as well shouldnt be overlooked. It is the complete difference between fights like Pac vs Margo, and Pac vs Clottey, where one has the spirit of a warrior and the pride to fight till death, and the other showing up not to get hurt.

That was an awesome post. I agree wholeheartedly. The great Mexican champions such as Barrera, Morales, Marquez and now Margarito helped make Pacquiao the legend he is and raised themselves in history as well.

Freddy, I know your die hard behind your fighter. But for most of the objective people that outcome was expected. Pac's an ATG though, no doubt. A special fighter to watch.

Fight someone who is not washed up (De La Hoya and Hatton). Fight someone who is not grossly overrated (Cotto and Margarito). Fight someone who is not a human punching bag (Clottey). If he is not going to fight Mayweather there are plenty of better boxers out there than he has been fighting. In the 140 - 154 range.
Acatuly fight for a championship at the correct weight.

Freddy, I don't condone the "Mexicutioner" ****. But if I have to guess, it's just a sign of respect since Mexico is a great boxing country. Filipinos are just so happy that Pacquiao put their country on the sports map. Boxing is not the only sport where Mexico produces world class athletes. You guys produce soccer players that play in Europe and baseball players in the major leagues. Hell, you guys even have a heavyweight MMAer. Mexican household name in sports = a dime a dozen. Filipinos? Not so much.

So hold your head up high, dude. Let's just appreciate the talent of Manny Pacquiao, regardless of his country...and the country of the opponents he beats. :good

when I say I expected that outcome, I mean the decision victory....but to sit there and witness a massacre is totally different...especially the way pac was more then willing to trade after almost going down from a body shot...

You ****ing guys are acting like you never heard of Barrera or Marquez, or like you don't know that Clottey, Cotto (current JMW champ) and Margarito are all ****ing beasts at welterweight. Like Freddy said... what the **** does Manny have to do for you to give him some credit? Haul your ass out of a burning building?

That Margarito would have murdered Bradley, and double murdered Berto. Before the fight was signed everyone was saying it would be INSANE for Pac to fight Margo or anyone even close to that size. My how times have changed.

You are always a class act mi amigo!

Losing to Pac is no disgrace, especially the way he went out to try fighting at the expense of his health. Mexican pride, Filipino pride are the same. We share commonality in history.

Don't include michigan pride though, that is bull****. All bling and talk, no guts!
