So, are you trying to say that Rios should earn a shot at Soto?

Rios needs to become the #1 mandatory contender to Soto's WBC title, by fighting the top contenders in the WBC.

As far as I'm concerned Rios would be one of Soto's better opponents. I've always liked Soto since he got jobbed against Lorenzo. However his level of opposition leaves something to be desired with the exception of his last fight (even then Antillon had ploughed through second tier opponents and lost to his best opponents). I understand why people have become annoyed with him, he is very talented and IMO him vs Marquez in Mexico would be nice to see. I don't know who Rios thinks he is but like I say he is better than most of Soto's recent vitoms. His win over Peterson wasen't that bad and that kid he beat on the Pacquiao undercard was not exactly what I called a bum. Its a good point to focus on thought, Rios has such a bad attitude.

Sometimes fighters don't deserve shots but get them and go on to be great. I'm not saying Rios will be but for example did Salvador Sanchez and Alexis Arguello deserve there title shots? Of course not. He would not be the worst world title challenger of all time thats for sure.

Rios is JMM's and Miguel Acosta's mandatory.

Rios wanted to fight Soto in February, 2 months, after Soto was done fighting Antillon, while Rios was resting well.

And since Soto didnt agree to Rios short-notice fight, Rios is pissed off for not fighting for Soto's WBC title.
Yet, Rios is already, has the right to fight for JMM's and Acosta's WBA Titles.

what is Rios's hurry to have Soto fight soon, in Feb, when Rios could fight JMM or Acosta??

Rios just wants to fight a not-well rested Soto in Feb.:patsch

RIOS has a lot of haters because of his big mouth but the man can back it up inside the ring and will never duck anyone. If Soto fights him it will be the first time he is stopped in his career. RIOS is far stronger and more durable than guys like Katsidis and Antillon and people will be see this soon enough. I would settle for Rios vs. JMM or Soto because either would be major fireworks.

Guzman cheated his way to an unfair decison win over Soto.

Guzman tried to trade with Soto the first couple of round, but when Guzman could no longer handle Soto's power, Guzman Intentionally Fouled Soto with a deliberate low blow in the 3rd, and RAN, RAN and RAN like a scared chicken:lol: for the rest of the fight, and would turn his back, a full 90 degrees (like a COWARD) to avoid being hit by Soto.

After that fight, Guzman became known as Guzrunner.

Guzman got away with dirty fighting cause he fought in one of his own "backyards" in Atlantic City, where there's many of his domincan republic fans (that even his very own fans:good boo'd Guzman in the later rounds, for running from Soto).

Rios is fresher of them two, cause Rios hasnt been in battles that Kats and Antillon have been.

    Rios is not ringsmart.
Rios is a fresh young brawler that can easily be outclassed by Soto.

JMM and Soto could school Rios.
They just dont want to waste their time on Rios now, cause they have other plans, like JMM wanting Pac and/or that 4th divisional world title; and Soto also wanting Pac, JMM, MAB and/or that 4th divisional world title.

I'd be rooting for Soto but I think Rios would beat him right now. Soto hasn't brought his power up to 135. He hits hard enough to get your respect but not as hard as he did at 130. After watching the Antillon fight, I think a Rios fight would be similar but Rios will be coming into the fight weighing 150 and that doesn't bode too well for Soto.
