I believe he was 15. He weighed near 200lbs at age 13. The kids used to tease him and call him "mighty Joe Young". Physically he was an incredible physical specimen at a young age.

 

Anyone weighing over 200lbs will cause enough damage to hurt you significantly and possibly permanently. Im 235lbs and theres no way id get in a ring with Tyson even now. That kind of power is totally stunning.Its like being hit by a speeding bullet.
