the fact Greedy Eddie ripped us off with the price of the PPV i'm glad he won't make money from AJ-Fury now
Has it not occurred to you that he’ll just make triple the money from last night on the Usyk rematch instead?
He didn't rip me off with the price of the PPV, but I did enjoy the bout. All of the Hearn mouthpieces on here seem a bit lost. They will have to wait for their next hour long IFL TV interview for ammunition from their master.
Why were you confident that Fury would of fought AJ? Matchroom have attempted to make the fight several times for Fury to turn down. Why would this time be any different?
not convinced it would happen but if it did it would've make more money than AJ-Usyk 1,2,3 and 4 combined, now it's dead in the water so Greedy Eddie can charge us £30 for Chisora vs a tomato can
I know you like to eliminate all context from these discussions and we've been over this multiple times so I don't really know why I'm bothering.. I think that Joshua and Fury would've fought this summer were it not for the arbitration issue. The arbitration is the responsibility of Fury's legal team to handle rather than Fury himself. As per Hearn, all terms were agreed - so it's not as if Fury "turned it down". I know this doesn't suit your agenda - but let's be fair to Fury here. The arbitration thing wasn't his fault.
The arbitration wasn't Fury's fault. However Arum stating that Wilder had no leg to stand on legally and yet all along had booked out the arena for the date so knew that Wilder vs Fury was happening all along was Arums fault. As I've said before Fury could demanded to Arum put his hand in his pocket and pay the step aside money as Hearn arranged with Usyk at the time.
Yes I agree, it's Arum, Fury's promotion and legal team who are at fault. I think it's unfair to say that Fury "turned down" the chance to fight Joshua this summer though. As for the previous times - you'll have to remind me of the other time you're thinking of.. but am I right in saying what you're referring to is Hearn's 4 fight deal back in 2017/2018? No hoper, Bellew, Whyte, Joshua? We have no idea of the terms of said deal, and Fury legitimately believes himself to be the best in the division. He wouldn't have wanted to play second fiddle to Joshua at Sky/Matchroom. He went his own way and fought himself into a position to rightfully demand 50/50 by beating Wilder and is the number 1 at BT + the mega deal with ESPN. I think that's fairly justified and again accusations of Fury "ducking" Joshua in that circumstance are a bit tenuous.
On his own terms though, which I think was a big thing for him. It's ego really - he (and Joshua) would've seen themselves as the number 1 at HW. There's no way Fury would've taken said deal (which we don't even know the financials of) from Hearn who he clearly doesn't trust. The irony is that I think in a parallel universe where Joshua doesn't exist, Fury and Hearn would've worked well together. Despite all the comments they make about each other there's clearly mutual respect. This content is protected
Two other times were: 4 fight deal - Kauffman, Bellew, Whyte and AJ. 40 % offer - Which Warren stated was a derisory but after that he accepted the same split in a much smaller earning fight against Wilder.
Yes, he only fought Wilder twice, and for a third time. It was so easy for Fury to go across to Wilder's "back yard", a shadow of his former and future self, to take on such a devastating puncher and long-reigning, undefeated champion. I'd have had much more respect for Fury had he taken on a legend like Rice Pudding Jr, Tickling Takam, Pudding Pulev, Paint Dry Parker, or even a legend like ***** Tits Breazeale, Maths Teacher Molina, or Charles Martin. All amazing "top 10" boxers.
Yes the 4 fight deal I remember and have addressed above. Can you remind me about the 40% one? When was that?
2 years ago just before Wilder vs Fury one. Warren said something along the lines of "Parker got 32.5 % vs AJ. Are you telling Me Fury is only worth that much more than Parker? Ridiculous. Any fight with Fury is 50/50". ...Then accepts a 40% split against Wilder.
