I think JC forced the fight and it was effective aggresion, he deserved to win IMHO.

Hopkins landed the cleaner more telling blows. Joe never made a dent in Bhops.

He came forward mate. That grinds the 10-9s out. Hopkins is one hell of a 42 year old though...:good

    Calzaghe DID MORE.
But, his punches were sloppy even by his standards. If that was an amateur fight, Bernard won about 50-2 on clean punches.
But it was a pro fight, and Calzaghe landed more.

At the end of the fight, I respected what Bernard did better. :good

Ricky Hatton came foward mate. Hopkins is an amazing 43 year old. I have to say I'm finding it hard to give Joe credit here especially after so many were predicting a complete beatdown.

One good punch a round doesnt win fights.

Out of interest, which rounds did people think Hopkins won? The 1st obviously.....2, 3, 10 he had a shout for, after that I was struggling to give him a round?

We could do without the patronising emoticons, we're having an adult discussion in the Brit forum.

I would have to watch it again to give you the exact rounds but Hopkins won the cleaner blows throughout. Joe never made a dent in Hopkins.

Yep, hats off to Hopkins but I thought JC won pretty comfortably on my card.

Depends how you score fights then.

I've always favoured aggression and punches landed. Some favour quality shots, even if they are one a round.

I thought Joe won 8 rounds, maybe more.

I totally disagree, Joe did not look impressive Hopkins landed the cleaner blows, dropped Joe, controlled the pace & as champion should have got the nod. Joe hardly wrested the title from Hopkins did he?

To be fair, who ever does look impressive against Hopkins? It's why he's an ATG.

FWIW, I had Joe winning by 2, but like most people have said, I wouldn't have argued too much had it gone the other way.

I want to re-watch just rounds 5 through 12, to see how much they were coloured in my mind by the round 1 KD. That's for tomorrow though.
