Does anyone else have Setanta broadband? I have the TV package as well, but bought the broadband service over a year go at the same time as I work out of hours a lot and am on call pretty much 24/7, so it's useful if I miss anything.

My gripe is that it's not updated anywhere near frequently enough as I'm still waiting for Bunce's boxing show of last week!!!

Does anyone else have the BB service and in general what do you think of it? Overall I'm fairly pleased, but fights can take a few days or weeks before they show up and most annoyingly Steve Bunce's show from Thursday of last week (25th) STILL isn't up there yet. I've had an hour or so to myself last night and thought I'd kick back, have a beer and see the latest boxing news, but alas it was not to be, the broadband service seems to play second fiddle... can understand that but it's been almost a week now... :-(

I have the broadband service, I got it the night Haye fought Mormeck. The archive service is generally pretty good, but there doesn't seem to be any definitive time scale on when stuff is available.

It can be a bit patchy, but something like Buncey's show will not exactly be top prority, I would have thought.

Easy Claypole - bit strong amigo!
I'm in tomorrow and I will ask one of the smart people about links.

    Adios.

No offence was intended Mr Bunce, but I would personally prefer it if Setanta concentrated on getting the big fights onto the archive service as quickly as possible (hours rather than days). The longer it takes, the more chance the result is spoiled by the time I get to see it.

I have been wondering where last week's boxing hour is, though. It's not really "news" anymore.

    thank Mr B! :)

I was out on Friday evening on the lash with a work colleague and came back early especially to watch it and it wasn't there, was a bit gutting... so we just ended up watching the previous weeks show.

Question for you (slightly silly perhaps, but I have to know!), when you asked Bernard if Joe Calzaghe was in his top 10 of his era, there was a LOOOOOOONG pause before he came back and bluntly said "No!". Now there was a giggle from someone in the studio and that just summed things up for me and my work pal, we were in stitches laughing at how much of a bad loser he was, we even jokingly said before he came on that he'd plug his fight first then go on and on about how he's never been beaten but for Jones Jr (who we also feel he can only admit that one because he has excuses lined up - inexperienced, not prime, 1st title fight blah blah blah). Anyway, I thought it was you that had the chuckle, if so how hard was it not to just laugh hysterically, it was so funny it could have been scripted! (I know it wasn't obviously!)

Anyway, thanks for looking into things, I dont like missing your show, it's excellent entertainment and I'm sure it's been said but needs to be longer!

and the more likely we are to cancel! lol

I already pay for the TV package, the broadband and tend to buy up all the PPV's too... I just hate missing a fight!

One thing I have noticed is that on Virgin+ you can now 'record series' for Bunce's hour.

Useful for those of us out at work on a thursday afternoon, keeping the wheels of the economy turning !

I love that Bunce is now doing the effing customer service for Setanta as well!

He seems to be taking all these questions in good humour but lets not get carried away :nono

For what its worth though I've started to look forward to the Bunce hour more than most of the fights.

I know what you mean Chinny. Our chubby Amigo sure does put on a good show. British boxing has been missing this show for decades!!

What I like is that Steve Bunce and Setanta are happy to talk about fights that are going to be shown on 'other' channels. This proves that they genuinely care about the sport in this country.
Could you ever imagine Sky or Frank Warren saying "I can't wait for the Haye Barrett fight"!!!

Keep up the fantastic work Buncie!! :bbb
