Yep, an utter pain in the arse. Was at one point impossible to get through to on the phone, I eventually got through and cancelled but still the money kept going out so I just cancelled my DD after googling "problem cancelling setanta" and finding about 1million similar problems! Few phone calls happened which I just got the missus to say I werent in, a few letters sending out a form to fill in my bank details on (Yeah right) then all went quiet thankfully. Annoying little twats.

A very simple case of buying more product than they can afford. The bubble had to break sooner or later.

i'm planning to attend all future setanta fights with a video-camera and do the coverage myself.i'll need a sound man,a lighting man and a sponsor for our entrance fee and travelling costs.

I think this has been on the cards for a while.

Looking back - they were very, very, very late in the day getting the Cotto - Jennings fight. They never got the Froch fight either.

    All smacks of money troubles.....

Boxing would be the real looser if Setanta went down the pan - and that is a real shame.

I cancelled my DD a couple of weeks ago, it was getting to the point that was paying £14 a month and not switching the channel on from one Bunces Boxing Hour to the next.

They could have been. If they were financially stable, they could be buying all of these fights. Don't forget: they snatched the Cotto vs. Jennings, Marquez vs. Diaz, as well as the JuanMa Lopez and the Donaire fights out of nowhere a couple of days before

I don't think that it's the boxing contracts that have caused this - it's football. Setanta are currently negotiating to pay less for the SPL than they agreed previously, which was a £125m contract. There's no way that hayemaker or the European and US fights will be getting anywhere near that. I hope that Setanta sorts itself out, if only to offer an alternative to Sky.

The sunday times is saying today that if Setanta dont find 100 million before june 15th to pay the premier league they are done. guess they may at least have to try and sell Haye-Wlad and their Hayemaker contract.
