I have been on the phone to Setanta for over 30mins, all they can do is apologise apparently. The line up in coming months is great. Pity it's on such a terrible service.

Thatll be the freeview version I think. I was going to subscribe as I only have freeview, but luckily I have a pal who lets me round to his humble abode to watch all the fights on his Skybox.
I was over the moon though when I heard that freeview customers were to be able to get Setanta, as its awkward having to go to my pals house to watch fights a.t 4 or 5 in the morning until I found out here from some unlucky lads that it shuts off at 3am:-(

Setanta is at the serious con, especially as they dont tell freeview customers who order the boxing that they wont get to see the american cards... In fact they openly lie to customers that they will, so they will order it.:-(
& with Haye vs Enzo fst approaching & a late starting time, freeview Setanta customers should be wary if they will even see the full fight.
    A shocking situation.

Even the archive service was screwed up. You would have thought somebody would have noticed. I had to make do with the hour long rerun show. It was pathetic, 7 rounds of boxing and a load of guff.
Problem is, they have us over a barrel. They've blown Sky out of the water with the fights they have secured, then provide a substandard service. Steve Bunce is the icing on the cake, he is there just to rub our noses in it.

    Bingo! :good

That just about sums up Setanta.

Setanta is a ****ing con and I hope their badly run excuse for a sports channel finds itself in financial trouble very soon.

Here is the answer I got back from Setanta:

    Dear Mr Cowley,

Unfortuantelly on Sunday evening we encountered an technical issue which
has put down the service on the first channel for one hour and forty
    minutes.
This was due to a technical setting which was scheduled to change the
feed source. However it switched too early and the feed source was not
    ready.

Please accept our apologies for that issue which as caused for you not
be able to watch the last minutes of the big match and has delayed the
    broadcasting of the boxing match.

We have investigated on the reasons of that issue later on the night. We
have checked and fixed all the settings to avoid the problem to occur
    again.
We will be watching over the streams closely throughout the whole week.

Once again we apologise for the inconvenience and assure you that all
has been carried out to prevent such problem in the future

    Best Regards,
    Setanta Broadband Customer Services

Do they not have spellcheckers on their computers?

If it was me I would send them an email back saying I appreciate your apology and am prepared to overlook your spelling if you waive my subscription for a few months to compensate me for the poor service and inconvenience caused!

I am planning to send them a heavy duty e mail sometime soon. I am a bit concerned at the standard of english used, though. Perhaps I should have told them I intend posting the reply on the internet!

Let me know if I can be of any assistance - I drafted a complaint to Setanta on behalf of a friend recently. My rates are very reasonable! ;)
