100 million is Setanta's reported annual losses.

20 million is what is being offered to current shareholders in return for 51% of the shares, not what money would be put into the company. Clearly a large injection of cash would be required to ease the immediate problems.

Hopefully the russian will invest in setanta and they can be real competitors with sky and than maybe they'll put their prices down.

 

Let's just hope they don't make too many changes to the scheduling.

this is great...but i hope they thrive now...this is kind of like an equalising goal, but not the winning goal...far as i can make out they still need to go and get 50% more subscribers.

 

So is Setanta definitely saved? If so, are they keeping the boxing? Because that's the only reason I subscribe.

 

yh it's gonna take some time but they russian has got the money so he can add to setantas sports and hopefull they'll get 3 packages if not 4 of the epl. i can see setantas prices going up. i hope they don;t go up tou much though.
