We will get to see the son of El Grande Campeon de Mexico in action @12pm on Sunday morning :smoke.

Dodson/Quigley replay will be at 11 and this will follow it. Both shows are scheduled for an hour each so not sure if any undercard fights will be shown. The Mehico card has Soto and Montiel fighting so I'd like to see those fights.

I'd much rather see Soto or Montiel, but that's good nonetheless.

Saw this on the schedule the other day. Think they did this before for JCC jnr's fight with Vanda yeah. It'll just be that fight I reckon, still good, more boxing aint it.

    Cheers Ishy.:good

Would rather see Montiel or Soto, but JCC Jr is better than no boxing at all:deal

Junior's opponent is unbeaten and is rated by boxrec as the 6th best LMW in Argentina.....WOW!!!!!!!!!!!

We all know Junior's team like to take risks with their fighter.

There is no obstacle too small in their eyes:deal

The kid had a very limited amateur career. Senior's competition after 40 fights wasn't all that as well. Arum's been clever with his handling of Jr. There's no need to match him tough if he makes enough money fighting sub standard opponents. He's only 22 as well so there's no need to rush him.

    Just the once.

I actually thought he looked really good (seemed to be a better body puncher than his brother). A couple of fight reports I have read since then don't seem that appreciative though, so its hard to tell.

    Fair dues Ishy.

Its kind of the "Amir Khan syndrome" again, y'know a guy who hasn't achieved very much but who gets more exposure than more accomplished fighters. For this reason they're easier fighters to dislike; doesn't make it right, and who can blame them for going that way (more money - less risk - same exposure), but thats the way it is.

In this case the boxing fan over here will probably lose out. I wanna see Soto, you wan't to see Soto, I wan't to see Montiel, and you wan't to see Montiel. Odds are we won't get to see them, not unless Junior sparks this guy out in quick order. I'm all for watching the prospects build up their careers, but not if I miss out on watching the established world-level operators.

    Agree with you Mac :good

Chavez Jr. can be bought along at his own pace but I'd rather they didn't show his fight instead of fights featuring world class operators such as Montiel and Soto.

Conversely you could say that Setanta probably wouldn't have picked up any of the bill if JCC Jr hadn't have been fighting on it; as I said its better than nothing, and if Junior gets rid of this guy in the first few rounds we'll get to see some of the action from the rest of the fights........here's hoping:D
