Setanta sports are doing a special deal for £5 a month for the next three months if we subscribe before this Friday. I'm seriously considering subscrbing to this but was wondering what your thoughts on this. Have any of you fellas further info?
    Any advice appreciated :)

Are you subscribing on sky or freeview?
On sky you get 12 channels in total for the subscription, they have boxing, english/scottish european football live too. Footy season is about to end but its worth a try for 3months at £5 per month. You need to give them 30 days notice for cancelling.

I look at it as I would pay the £15 for calzaghe fight so its worth getting for me.

I signed up yesterday with the above views on sky. (could only see 1 setanta channel on my freeview so not worth doing it with freeview when sky has all the channels)

nice one Champ, thanks for the info :)
I'm going to order it .Theres too much messing about looking/begging for sopcast info and my freinds that supply boxing dvds take ages to deliver so for a fiver a month you cant go wrong!
    btw, Im also with SKY.

They always seem to be doing £5 a month deals. Every time I go to cancel it they offer me another 3 months at £5/month.

Do you not like it? or do you just go for the cancel to get the good price?

I think at £5 per month its great value. I like footy as well so the premiership and other leagues chucked in make it worth it. £10 per month I think is not too bad if they keep the fights coming.

I wouldn't be willing to pay £10/month if there are no decent fights on. I don't like football. I went to cancel at the end of March to give them a month's notice so that I'd still get April's fights and they offered me another 3 months at £5/month which sounds reasonable.

With them buying out all sport network shows and their willingness to show the live big fights from the US I think its a good deal.

Recently SKY has cheated us out of showing some major fights, I hope they dont follow suite.

I have had nothing but trouble with them. I wanted the subscription for three boxes (by the way you have to pay extra for more than one box; they do not tell you that in the adverts). And it took a one hour call at a preminum rate to resolve the problems.... They made their money back this month; with interest!

I THINK Setanta only have the rights to the UFC events that are held in the UK.

Mind its not just £5 a month when you sign up, well not for the first bill payment. £14.99 connection fee on top of that.

You are right. Bravo get delayed coverage of some (maybe all) of the others.

Setanta pisses me off. I cancelled mines because of the black bars either side of the screen when they do live fights from the US. No other channel offers black bars either side of the screen. It annoys me. I have a widescreen TV now and still the same.
