Yeah they have rights to the UK shows but after UFC 85 they will show all UFC events live.

 

Exactly mate. Spoils the viewing.

 

SKY do the black bars thing too. except they arent black.

 

I bought Setanta for the boxing and to see the odd Premiership or Scottish Premiership match. The deal mentioned is very good and well worth the fee. I have Sky Sports as well but due to the fights been split betwenn the two channels I have no choice but to buy both.

I have had no problems with Setanta apart from when they used to put a huge red dot over the round numer and time in the bottom corner. I never watch the other channels. but the ammount of good fights shown makes the fee well worth the cost, it helps I like Scotch footy too.


Robbi - The black bars were something to do with the Americans been ******s. I am sure the Hatton fights on Sky had the same awful presentaion.

 

The black bars are when its not recorded for widescreen.
Really can't believe in this day and age that top fights in America aren't recorded in high def and widescreen.

I just signed up for Setanta, then this bloody £5 month deal has came along. Typical haha

 

Does anyone else have problems recording setanta on sky+? everytime I do it the sound is all messed up and the picture jumps constantly!

 

How many boxing matches do setanta average a month?

 

It depends, some months it can be 3 big fights from the States other months nothing. Hopefully this deal with FW will lead to them having regualar UK cards to 'fill in the gaps'
