Feb 28 Karo Murat v Cristian Sanavia Super Middleweight, Sebastian Sylvester v Gaetano Nespro Middleweight
Mar 14 Arthur Abraham v Lajuan Simon IBF Middleweight
Mar 28 Ryan Rhodes v Anthony Small British Light Middleweight, Tony Dodson v Brian Magee British Super-Middleweight title
April 25 Paul Appleby v Martin Lindsay British Featherweight

I would assume that the March 28th Chavez/Montiel/Soto will be on, April 4th Holt vs Bradley Light Welter Unification and JM Lopez vs Penlarosa on the 25th, but even then its not great.

are setanta only going to show sauerland, top rank and hayemaker shows???

    fights we would like.............

    Marquez vs Diaz....................PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE
    V.Klitscko vs Gomez
    Williams vs Wright

Setanta do have a way of putting fights up a couple of weeks before kickoff.

To be fair to Setanta, they due tend to announce some fights they are broadcasting rather late in the day, so hopefully they'll pick up some of those you mentioned

to be fair if you only subscribe for boxing thats your own problem really. It's like going to a boxing card and complaining when the main event is a 1st round KO and saying you didn't get value for money because you didn't bother with the undercard.

You get more than just the boxing for your money.

I'm pretty bummed at the thought of Marquez-Diaz not being picked up. Of all the fights that have occurred so far this year, if they were going to to pick up only one, you'd have thought that it would be that. I haven't entirely given up hope yet though.

It now seems that setanta will only be showing Top Rank, Hayemaker and Sauerland shows. A bit disappointing really.

Be nice if Sky would get the finger out their arse also.

i doubt the german contract is costing setanta that much , i mean nuts tv had it before. it really should not be stopping them from getting other fights.

i would expect setanta to show the klitscho fight since there is a chance that he could fight haye if this mess with vlad is sorted. setanta also showed his last fight.

i hope the fact that a couple of upcoming top rank bills are on in mexico and canada (holt and bradley) does not affect setanta's rights to show them. would prefer to see holt v bradley if it came down to a choice.

am quite looking forward to the hayemaker bill on march 28th. the domestic action on that night will propably be better than most of sky's so far this year bar for one or 2 fights.

i posted a thread a couple of weeks ago asking if sky had a deal with golden boy or any other us promoter. i was told that they were purchased on a fight by fight basis. thats why i'm amazed that we are not getting some of these fights on either setanta or sky. would love to see marquez v diaz live (or even delayed the next day) it would be better than no coverage at all. bill also includes chris john v rocky juarez. the other bills coming up that id like to see is williams v wright and also the lightweight event coming up. i know this clashes with holt v bradley which is unfortunate. i honestly think setanta are doing their bit. they are showing more world action than sky. it would cost alot for setanta to show all the fights we are looking for. if they could even show some of them it would be great. i blame sky for showing no us action apart from hatton and de la hoya. and sky have far more subscribers and a bigger budget than setanta. if sky showed the odd bill from the states that was not top rank we would get most of the fights that we are looking for. i emailed sky asking why they are showing no us boxing. my comments were passed onto sky sports , guess thats the last i'll hear of that.

I am happy with Setanta's international boxing, with live fights with Haye, Cotto, Abraham, Pacquaio (although not his last and next fight), Pavlik, Clottey, JuanMa, Holt, Calderon secured and they pop up with other occasional fights and hopefully they do this with the JMM-Diaz fight.

What I would like is some more domestic fighting alongside Hayemaker promotions. If they could get the olympians on a contract that would be good, because other Warren fighters fight on the olympians bills. Also if they managed to get Hennessy Sports on board (wishful thinking) they would get a few world/european class fighters, prospects and some good domestic fights.

But with warren/sports network fighters both signed 2 sky sports aswell as maloney, hennessy sports signed 2 itv that only leaves the new pro mo"s Hayemaker, hatton and calzaghe and only hayemaker promotions will be able 2 produce good domestic fights at the mean time.
