To be honest i might sound crazy but id rather pay the 40 bucks... The commentators, ads everything about Setantas coverage stinks... I also saw on their site Haye Vs Maccarinelli ads thats aplus i want to see that fight, not bad enough to pay 40 but the 10 or 15 for Setantas coverage is good

Much rather just pay the $15 bucks. Most pay per views on Main Event are $50 anyway.

Are u sure ur not mistaken mate? Most are 39.95... The only time ive seen a 50 buck PPV is any Mundine fight and the De La Hoya Vs Mayweather bout and Mayweather V Hatton... Evey other one i pusrchased last year which were alot(these are just a few) were all 39.95:

    Cotto V Judah
    Cotto V Mosley
    Taylor V Pavlik
    Pacquiao V Barrera
    Morales V Diaz
    Hopkins V Wright

This year RJ V Trinidad was 39.95 and coming up are:

    Pavlik V Taylor II - 39.95
    Klitschko V Ibragimov - 39.95

Once again Choc V Hamden is 49.95 (f that)

Call me suspicious, but as soon as they start touching $50 they're testing the water to bring it in. I remember not so long ago there was an early bird booking fee that knocked off 10 bucks or so. That's since disappeared. Was Greeny's title fight $50 as well? I know Austar viewers usually get gipped with a 50 buck sting, for what reason, I don't know.

    Courtesy of Newsweek…

SETANTA SPORTS has won the exclusive Australian broadcast rights for what it is billing as "the fight of 2008" – Joe Calzaghe's light-heavyweight contest against Bernard Hopkins on April 20 from Planet Hollywood Ring in Las Vegas. The Calzaghe vs Hopkins event is not available on a PPV basis, but only to subscribers of Setanta Sports in Australia. Existing customers will receive the boxing bout as part of their Setanta Sports monthly subscription.

I still have that bloody station id ad tune burned into my brain...plays...fades out...starts again...

Six hours of that, its a torture I won't forget. I'll take my $15 and have some breakfast Guinness' at the nearest pub showing the fight.

I love Setanta... but then again I'm a Celtic supporter. The more channels showing big fights the better. The more competition should in theory bring the prices down.

Wish it was like that but lets look at what Boxing has been or will be on Sentanta so far.

    Calzaghe vs Kessler.

    Calzaghe vs Hopkins.

Can you see a link? Once the Joe C show leaves town I'll be interested to see what fights they show. AFAIK to this day the only boxing shown so far on Sentanta was Calzaghe-Kessler and its 418 repeats.

No mate, that's not correct. Frank Warren had signed with Setanta, so you can expect more on there. Enzo v Haye is on there and I watched talented Super Feather Kevin Mitchell wipe out Edison Torres in 3 a couple of weeks ago. It'll improve. And if not, well it's $15 a month, just buy it when needed.
