1 - Floyd Mayweather 2 - Manny Pacquioa 3 - Bernard Hopkins 4 - Joe Calzaghe 5 - Juan Manuel Marquez 6 - Miguel Cotto 7 - Israel Vasquez 8 - Ronald Wright 9 - Kelly Pavlik 10-Ricky Hatton They're doing a pretty good job of covering boxing on television in the UK, but this is a horrible list.
Awful, truely awful Why is Winky-Wright making an appearence on so many lists? :-( Why is Hatton on there? Hopkins way too high Pavlik is lucky to be on there
BIASED AMERICANS PUTTING BERNARD OVER CALZAGHE!!!!! Wait...ummm, I....yeah, just trying to put what most would say if this was an american outlet making this list. :hey Yeah, terrible list BTW.
i agree with the top guys on the list, but some certain modifications will do. But certainly that list is not that horrible
1 - Floyd Mayweather 2 - Manny Pacquiao 3 - Juan Manuel Marquez 4 - Joe Calzaghe 5 - Isreal Vasquez 6 - Miguel Cotto 7 - Bernard Hopkins 8 - Rafael Marquez 9 - Ivan Calderon 10-Kelly Pavlik
Hopkins would be 4 if he beat Joe. If Joe beats Hopkins he'll be 2. If he stops him i'll be looking long and hard at the top slot.
I have no real issue's with your list, it's sensible. My biggest complaint is not Hopkins as much as it's Calderon, if you want to discuss Calderon sometime, I'll be happy to do so. Mijares, Guzman, even Nate Campbell have more claim than Calderon.
Calderon is a two weight world champ, nice pure boxer. Yes, he looked less good last time out but was likely to in winning a title above weight. I'll be looking closely next time. Exciting times, have tickets for Guzman-Arthur. So don't be surprised if I have him at #1 in six weeks time, all over excited. He's in the 15.
1- Mayweather 2- Pacman 3- Calzaghe 4- Cotto 5- Hopkins 6- Vazquez 7- JMM 8- Calderon 9- Pavlik 10- Mijares And yours???
One BIG and I mean BIG win from Campbell doesnt erase a career of up and down performances...and not showing up every night. I think Guzman is good, but I feel many on this site overrate him, he is the most overrated, underrated fighter out there (as I feel he is better than the credit he gets from most of the boxing world, but not as good as some think)...if that makes any sense. And I have Mijares on there so....
Yeah, but I mean, the competition down there isn't inspiring either, the guy he just almost lost too is just a B- fighter all in all, that's all I mean. He's fantastic of course, but aging and declining. Should have been P4P ranked a few years back when he was dropping no rounds fight after fight you know. Guzman's wins over Soto and Barrios, a B and B+ fighter, **** on any win in his resume, if we look at things literally. Mijares' complete domination's of Arce, two wins over Kawashima and dominative win over Navarro again trump anything on his resume. Just some food for thought, but your list is pretty good, just I have a bother with ****ing Calderon being listed over guys who have dominated superior fighters recently. See? I kind of take sides with underrated guys.... and go against overrated guys. People are just dying to put many lower weight class guys in the top 10 because they go unnoticted... but the level of talent at 100-108 is **** to begin with. The level of talent at 112-118 is ****ing great.
Like I say the next one out at the weight is a big one for him, but I'll always allow a winning stutter step from a fighter moving up in weight for the first time. Calderon has been 12-8 on my list for a number of years now.
I'm in the process of sorting some things out here, so bare with me - 1. This content is protected 2. Mayweather/Pacquaio 3. Joe Calzaghe 4. Juan Manuel Marquez 5. Miguel Cotto 6. Israel Vasquez 7. Cristian Mijares 8. Rafael Marquez 9. Joan Guzman 10. Nate Campbell. Okay now, this list will be shifting really soon. I have to put Campbell in there because he really beat the ****ing **** out of a consensus top 12 P4P fighter as a heavy underdog. Now if he ****s up and loses next fight, he's out, simple. I hope that's a good enough explanation.
