Interesting article, but the author is wrong in claiming that Witherspoon will give Mitchell a tough fight. HBO and Al Haymon would never have picked him as an opponent if that were the case.

I think it's basically saying that Witherspoon at best will give him a tough fight. I agree HBO wouldn't have picked someone who can actually beat him, but he'll make him work hard.

I remember that we disagreed on this at first. Then, I took the trouble to study Chazz's earlier fights, particularly his builders (wins). I then realized that he's mediocre.

I disagree. It sounds to me as if the author is unsophisticated enough to believe that Chazz really will make a tough fight of it.

Looking at WiI imagine he has been brought in as an opponent because he doesn't have an outstanding chance of winning and he will make Mitchell look good and work hard whilst getting a victory.

Witherspoon is a decent opponent for Mitchell and should give him a tough fight.

'work hard whilst getting a victory' 'give him a tough fight' basically the same thing to me. Looks like it's trying not t sound to negative towards Witherspoon.
