very valid point, i think Iggy got KO'd before he really got going, and Mitchel was faster and maybe even better Witherspoon either thought Mitchell was more done than he really was, just got plain reckless, or because he rarely KO's guys or is on TV he got antsy I do think regardless of what Witherspoon did wrong Mitchell's body attack hurt him took wind out of his sails and this immobilized him but i think Witherspoon had to fight dumb to allow Mitchell to get to the body
I thought Iggy and Chazz did well for a round, or a round and half. Chazz, obviously, nearly had Mitchell out. Iggy -- despite landing fewer punches -- was connecting nicely with long rights. If both guys had kept the fight at a distance, and avoided trading bombs with Mitchell, who knows what might have happened over the long run. So why did Iggy and Chazz close the distance and elect to trade with bulldozer like Mitchell? At first, I thought Iggy and Chazz -- especially the latter -- got cocky. I blamed them for making tactical mistakes. But in retrospect, I'm wondering if perhaps Mitchell's pressure forced each guy to dig and fight (as opposed to keeping the distance). Maybe they felt they had no breathing room, and needed to get respect. I don't know. Maybe Mitchell is that fast on his feet, in pursuit of long-range fighters. Whatever the case, when he gets close enough, he unloads brutal body combos mixed with overhand rights to the head. It's lights out at that point. Nobody should trade punches with Mitchell. The key to beating him is to score well from long range -- especially with rights to the head. I doubt Banks can do this.
Boy I was I wrong atsch I knew Banks had the experience to expose Mitchell I am suprised at how easily he destroyed him :good
I always knew that Mitchell would come to this end: no defense, question chin. However I didn't a Banks type-of-opponent would get the job done. I guess the secret to beating Mitchell is to have a little pop in the right, and to beat him to the punch.
