Seth Mitchell vs. Michael Grant

too flawed to improve? I would think that having more flaws would make it vastly easier to improve.

 

Sorry but Cooney of 1980-1982 would obliterate Mitchell. It would be criminal.

I would like too see Mitchell fight Malik Scott, Kingpin, or any of the other American contenders but I know it isn't going to happen putting him in there with Grant is pointless other than the height.

After last night Mitchell isn't really a Contender in my eyes Witherspoon is awful. Not trying to trash Mitchell here I wish him the best and we need American contenders but this guy isn't it. Kevin Johnson is easily better than him and so is Arreola. Malik Scott would be a winnable fight but they won't risk it.

 

I'm not suprised that most people going with Mitchell by knockout. Grant hasn't won a meaningful fight in years. Although he hasn't been as out of his meaningful fights as his record suggests. He gave Adamek a lot of trouble and last year he bombed another big punching no technique (faded) hype job Tyle Fields in 2 rounds. I think this is a good fight for Golden Boy if they can get options on Grant and make it for a high ranking win one of the sanctioning bodies. Because if Grant wins he's american and known enough to get one of the klits bum of the month title shots. And if Mitchell wins the gravy train keeps rolling. Win, win for GBP.

 

Everybody has their limits, including boxers. Sometimes, maximizing one's potential involves accepting that one's flaws cannot be surmounted.

I think Seth has peaked. He's strong as hell, but I don't see too much else.

Also, I believe Witherspoon blew that fight more than Seth winning it.
