Why do you believe that Mitchell's football leg-movement exploits translate into legwork competency as a pro boxer? I'm mystified as to that. Not saying you're wrong, but I don't see the connection between the two games. Also, it's not just the capacity of Adamek and Chambers to "move" that will make the difference: it's also their defensive capacities. I believe that their abilities to slip, parry, and block blows is what will nullify Mitchell's attack just as much as their footwork will. Comment? As for the Ibragimov fight, what struck me is that Mitchell's jab was nowhere near as accurate or effective, for this particular fight, as it was for his past fights (I believe this in spite of the fact that Mitchell did indeed land numerous jabs, as you point out). I attribute this to the fact that Ibragimov is the best defensive boxer/technical fighter that Mitchell has yet met. To me, at least, this is evidence that the jab will be that much less effective when Mitchell reaches the higher stages of the game (Adamek, Chambers, possibly Kingpin, and definitely Haye). No? As a matter of fact, I really thought the match was shaping up to be anyone's fight until Ibragimov walked into that booming left hook at 2:00 of round two.
