Which is why he's been knocked out so many times. Oh wait, he's never suffered more than a flash knockdown. I'm always amazed how the so-called chincheckers here (other than Zakman, granted) seem to have no ability to distinguish balance problems with chin problems. Notice how nobody's complained about how horrible Gamboa's chin is in the past year or so? He finally fixed his footwork mistakes, and is no longer caught off balance all the time, and evidently his china chin has mysteriously disappeared. Anyway, Mitchell has been fed a pretty steady diet of guys with shaky chins and limited boxing skills. If people can't see that, well whatever. The only time he's knocked someone out with a decent chin was Ibragimov, and that was a straight up referee stoppage. Maybe he can knock out Adamek (his chin isn't great for a heavyweight, but it's not china like people suggest), but he can't move well, and I personally think Adamek comfortably outboxes him while losing a few rounds due to getting nailed by a few big shots (while I think Adamek's chin issues are overstated, his power issues are not).
Adamek got caught by Walker's best punch, got up and scored a KD in the same round, later scoring a TKO. There's so many instances of this in his career. P4P Adamek has one of the best chins in boxing. Not one fighter has been able to score a clean KO on Adamek.
Sad to say, it's utterly pointless to try and talk sense with some of these guys on Adamek. Every fight, they claim he'll get KO'd. Yet say nothing about being wrong afterwards. He's just HUGELY HATED by these UKunts....
Mitchell doesn't have that much better of a chin than Adamek IMO, but Adamek certainly doesn't have the power to take advantage of it.
Getting knocked silly AND looking like BAMBI on ice from a ****ing JAB......Says to me he has NO chin!END THREAD!
Waste of time trying to reason with them man. Gaye has a glass jaw, and got owned by an old man that was WAY past his best at CW.
On paper, Mitchell should be able to steamroll Adamek, but the same was said about Arreola and Adamek somehow managed to get a points decision in Arreola's backyard. Adamek just finds a way to win despite the odds. With his experience and general canniness I expect him to negate Mitchell's superior power to snatch a UD.
Mitchell also has a suspect chin and I bet if Adamek took him into the middle rounds he would be gassed.
Lmfao what a ****ing joke. Just shows how esb members will hop on any guy they see fighting on HBO. Seth mitchell is a bum. Watchimg him cry after being rocked by some bum was cringeworthy to watch. Adamek would take mitchell into deep waters and drown him
Impossible to say at this point, though overmuscled guys like Seth do tend to tire more easily than leaner guys. If Adamek can target the body and befuddle Seth with his in out movement and quick combinations, he could win relatively easily. There's always the threat of Seth's power, though, and Adamek tends to get hurt at least once in every fight. Would be a very interesting fight.
Nope don't work polishbummer it does not take away from the fact that adamek in his "fight" with the old man vitali..was not only knocked all over the ring from an arm JAB but was also SHAMEFULLY looking at the ref to help him out.....He also could of been put out of his misery much much earlier, but old man vit said himself...he CARRIED him for the thousands of delusional polish fans....And as for haye being "ROCKED" by a jab from carl thompson in like his 10th fight....troll on sonny!....When haye was stopped exausted in the fight he was WINNING easy.......he when down swinging......unlike you're USELESS HERO....WHO DID NOT COMLAIN
Seth Mitchell, The One that will save American Heavy weight Boxing. ohh wait.. he got KO'd against Banks.
No need to write Seth off just yet. He got caught by a superior technician in Banks who exposed his flaws and capitalised on them in the best possible way. Provided Seth learns from his mistakes and puts this behind him I see no reason to stick a fork in the man. Losses happen, they shouldn't signal the death knell of a career, and fans who treat them as such are only going to prevent any mildly competitive matchups from happening in the future. Of course the hype bubble that was building around Seth has been deflated, and that's a good thing. But Mitchell's still a solid fighter with an all action style and the power (and vulnerabilities) to make for very interesting matchups in the future. I've jokingly referred to him as "Little Acorn" in the past, after Earnie Shavers, and I think they fulfill much the same place in their respective boxing landscapes. Of course it's still early days for Mitchell, but I still hold out hope that he can be an interesting competitor in the coming years. I doubt he ever becomes champ, but then I didn't hold massive hopes for that in the first place, just took each fight as it came and enjoyed the ride. I just hope it hasn't reached its destination yet.
