Your girlfriend was probably cringing because she got a good look at you when the house lights were up. Besides she would have ditched you for Wlad if he ever so much as glanced her way.

More popular sports have been draining boxing talent for the past 60 years here. Other countries weren't in a position to exploit it like they are now, and nobody really cared so long as Americans were on top of the heavyweight division. It wasnt a top 3 participation sport since before world war II. By the 60s and 70s, we had half as many fights and fewer fighters, yet people call it a golden age because boxing was lucky enough to have Ali as a ratings magnet.

The rest of the world has caught up (primarily due to political and coaching factors), despite our fighters still getting more managerial and promotional favors. It's still easier for U.S. fighters to get the right backing and opportunities.

Perhaps horse racing is stealing our bantamweights, too. But boxing is also pretty far down the athletic food chain for most countries.

    Lmao! How insecure are you?

What's your agenda really? I mean I get it you like who you like you have a particular preference but why the unduly egocentric attitude. At this stage in your life it's probably to late to bend you in a better direction much like a tree once it's grown there's no more bending (my wise womanizing grandpa used the tree metaphor)

I'd say the allure attached to representing ones country as a successful fighter has depreciated. I can't speak for an entire population however some of the cats I know who happen to be direct imports of the Ukraine and Russia mention the fact that boxing is still very prevalent and still very much a tool used to show supremacy.....this isn't so true in the states anymore.

Mitchell was never a legit Contender despite the fact that people on here tried to make him one. He was blown out in one by Arreola who is not a savage puncher or great technician. If he had any promise he would have been able to at least go a few rounds. Mitchell is the American version of David Price guys that have Chins so bad they really shouldn't be fighting.
