Mitchell is no worse than Wilder in actuality, Wilder might have a slight advantage because of his reach/height but other than that they are probably a similar level in terms of skill. I favor Wilder but a Mitchell KO wouldn't shock me one bit. Whomever lands first with a meaningful shot wins.

Oh, I don't know man. Wilder has had his chin protected, but there I can't see any way around him KOing Mitchell early, and I like Mitchell.

I really don't see his defense being any better than Mitchells.... Only thing that helps out a bit more is his reach/height, that's it.

I can't see Mitchell lasting 12 vs Stiverne, let alone winning wide.

:goodStiverne would have knocked Seth into next week and the week after. Jonathan Banks isn't great.....at all, and look what happened there.

They should have Mitchell fight Wilder in an all-glass jaw battle. I'd love to see whose fragile mandible exploded first!

Wilder has more raw pop as well, but he isn't leagues above Mitchell or anything if you take away the size.

You're correct. Most US fans are in denial and continue to make excuses. It's well known that boys/men in the US are targeted for various drugs if they act "too aggressive" in school. We also have a droid, iPod, pc gaming, stuff your face w/food "culture" in the US :-(

The NBA/NFL narrative is lame. There are 10,000s of HW sized men in the US that are good athletes, but just aren't good enough to make it in those leagues to make big $. So we have a large pool of hungry, potential HWs. If just 1%, ONE f'n PERCENT of those big men tried boxing there would be 100s of potential good fighters, even contenders.

    Where are they? :huh

Face it, the US is no longer at the top of the heap in boxing. All the rationalizations, race, national based or otherwise, isn't changing reality. Also bringing up past US fighters that would "clean out" this era - THEY WOULDN'T - won't change reality either. To be honest I'm surprise how quickly the US lost dominance in the heavier divisions after the Soviet block opened up.

    Hardly took one generation :deal
