chazz was a very good accomplished amateur , ton of fights, golden gloves national champion, something Mitchell didnt have. Hes big and rangy could cause mitchell problems...cant remember if he was a lefty or not...
hes not going back in level of competition, hes probably better than that timur character.... either way, he is 100 times the better opponent than deontay wilders first 21

 

Why does HBO refuse to show top heavyweights, while they show Seth Mitchell in with a bum who was stopped by Thompson and dominated by Arreola?

 

He is american. HBO is in america. you dont have to be a genius to realize the klits are boring to alotta fans. Mitchell is an up and comer who has pwoer and explosiveness. Plus they can groom him to be a ppv fighter if he ocntinues his success.

Or is it because Al Haymon is Mitchell's manager? Does Haymon's friend at HBO Kery Davis not like European/white boxers?

Some say Kerry Davis and Al Haymon are so tight is because they both come from a music background and are both black. Al Haymon was quoted in an interview in The Ring magazine as saying he would never manage a white boxer.

 

Seth Mitchell is one of the mor einteresting American Heavyweights and up to now he has been entertaining, i dont blame HBO for showing him.

HBO refuses to show 'top heavyweights' aka the Klitschkos because they have had their fingers burnt one too many times.

They would show Klitschko - Seth Mitchell though...

A really good fighter for his development at this time, has skill, but isn't a dangerous puncher. Fairly durable so should give him some rounds aswell.

 

Why do you bring up race in every single thread you post in?

 

they've been trying to match him up with chazz for the last two fights, but i wouldn't sleep on chazz he'll have some great sparring partners to prep for this fight. He some experience his amateur background and fights with some top heavy's.. not to mention, he spars with solid philly fighters

seth mitchell's last fight didnt impress me much. the guy was sluggish and even gun shy, and wasn't prepared mentally to win at all. chazz witherspoon is a big, strong guy with heart, not a huge chin but good skills and power. I definitely wouldnt rule out an upset, but at the same time, if mitchell does what his promoters and fans expect and dispatches of chazz impressively, i'd say he's got the goods.
