Pac is fast and awkward. Floyd is almost as fast and has excellent foot-work. This will not be an easy fight for him. Floyd gave him problems. But, I think Pac's awkwardness will be even harder for Ricky to figure out.

He is keeping a cool head in this one, even his speech after the weigh-in didn't look anything close to what it was when he fought Mayweather. Hatton is doing it like he's supposed to and is just waiting for the fight to be on so he can show if he can deliver or not.

Hatton needs an aggressive fight with tight defense. Sounds ridiculous, but Hagler did it with Hearns. At least partially. Tommy hit him alot, but Marvin kept his head low and threw punches and that is what Hatton has to do. Throw a lot of punches and keep his head low and not be wild. Controlled aggression. Waiting and fighting a slow paced fight would be a mistake with a great fighter like Pacman.

Yes but what works in Hatton's favor is that Pacman is more of a warrior than Floyd. He will take more chances because he is real fighter and wants to get in the trenches and earn his win. Hagler fought Hearns and Leonard, and Hearns was more of a risk taker than Leonard, so Hagler had the fight he wanted. Pacman is just more of a warrior than Floyd and that is the reason why he might stop Hatton earlier than Floyd but also he will be more in range to be hurt also. Makes for a more exciting fight. Also, Pacman is more the size of Hatton and the weight so it is a more even fight than Floyd vs. Hatton which was a weight advantage for Floyd. No advantage here for Pacman. Pacman just fights them all and fights them with no excuses like Floyd.

Seriously? I'm saying right now Pacquiao's 140 hook ain't **** compared to Mayweather's 147 hook or Lazcano's 140 hook. Not only that, half the time Pacquiao throws that hook he plants and squares himself for a monster countershot. He did it about 20 times between the De La Hoya and Diaz fights alone. And this is when he wasn't just jumping and diving out of the way completely whenever the opponent would start punching or launch forward, mind you.. I think I know why Manny bails out soo much. :yep

Which would be an open door for Hatton to do some REAL good work if Ricky had his head up and his wits about him. Instead he'll charge in head down begging to get hit then adjust afterwards. Faster hands land first and you know who wins in that department.

I think you're underestimating just how much Manny Pacquiao compartmentalizes offense and defense. They are two seperate things for him.

Manny Pacquiao is not the guy to stand there and allow himself to get hit with a few shots so he can start his own combination as soon as you've stopped punching, if you catch my drift.

Agreed.:good I think Ricky's style of fighting works right into Pac's. Pac looks for brawls, Ricky likes to brawl. It would be interesting to see how much Ricky has learned from Floyd sr., and if it could benefit him in anyway against Pacman.
