Arum ran out of fighters on his stable. That’s how Horn earned his shot. And he wasn’t willing to throw Crawford in with Pac yet.

Pac jumped ship soon after. And now he’s with Haymon and a fresh stable, he wants allllll the smoke.

We aren't talking about Horn. Who cares about Pac - Horn. Meant nothing to me.
You aren't answer anything. Broner being a star, and getting beat, isn't a qualification to fight Floyd. Don't you get that?

You claimed for years Margarito had no right to try and fight Floyd. But beating Broner at WW, who did NOTHING AT WW, was worthy.
    Try a little consistency FFS.

    How are you so dense!?!?

Floyd was going to fight the winner of the poll. Khan won the poll, so Floyd decided to fight the guy Khan beat. WTF?!?! DId Floyd duck Khan of all people???

No he didn't Khan looked like **** in his previous fight and even here on this site people stated that Maidana was more deserving. Try telling that to someone else. They said Broner was a floyd clone and he would beat PBF because he beat Broner. No one said Khan deserved anything because he was seen as a joke. Maidana won the poll here back then between him and Khan on who PBF should fight. I'll bump the thread and embarrass you. Who cares that Khan had a bunch of teenage girls casuals voting in a poll Ryan Garcia would win any poll due to stuff like that. Real boxing fans wanted Maidana not Khan.
Horn was bum and a cherry pick that turned into a disaster for Pac one in which he took a L for. He did nothing to deserve the fight and no one even knew who he was outside of Australia. Stop with this revisionist history like no one here back then here was following boxing.

I think people are also forgetting that Broner was a legit star in the making, an undefeated multi-weight champion who was the clear favourite going into that fight. Hindsight is a wonderful thing, Broner derailed his own career after that.

If we're criticising beating Broner as irrelevant and unworthy of a Mayweather opponent, how did you fu ckers feel about Pacquiao fighting Broner? After he had already lost to Maidana, Porter, Garcia and a draw against Jessie Vargas? Is THAT a worthy opponent for the 'GOAT'?

Pac was told to leave Arum more than 10 years ago to get his shot against Floyd. Cotto got his shot immediately after doing so. Why didn't Pac?

 it was floyd getting scared of what he saw in Pac that stalled it.

That doesn't make beating him worthy of facing Floyd. Broner did nothing at WW. You know, the weight class they were in?

How does this reconcile with Freddie Roach's comments on Pacquiao's team being responsible for the delay?

I'm talking about him. You're a hypocrite you're saying Maidana didn't deserve a fight with PBF because he beat Broner a big star and jumped down my throat for it. Yet you're not saying anything about Horn who was a nobody getting a shot with Pac who was far less deserving of fighting a superstar than Maidana was. That's how you operate. You chose to argue with fans of boxers you don't like and overlook ridiculous stuff that's said by fans of boxers you do like. Anyone with knowledge of boxing back then knows that Maidana upsetting Broner back then was huge, upset of the year and can see why he got a fight with PBF and was more deserving of a fight with a super star than Horn was when he got a shot at pac.

I'm not sure if you remember that Berto was in a similar position, a star on the rise who was beaten by Ortiz. Mayweather also honoured the winner of that fight with a match. I don't see why people get their knickers in a twist over Floyd fighting Maidana when Pac faced:

    David Diaz
    Brandon Rios
    Chris Algieri (!)
    Jessie Vargas
    Jeff Horn
    A shot Adrien Broner

Yet continue to worship Pac's CV.

So now you basically admitted that Arum served up Pac a cherry pick and he wasn't deserving??? More excuses I see. LOL! You're too easy.

Freddie is an attention-starved ***** who loves juicy sound bites. Like for this camp, he said in all honesty Pac way over pays him. That's just not something you say.

What about Floyd saying Pac would have to leave Arum for the fight to happen?

Or Pac had JMM and Bradley problems first?

Or going on ESPN with a long winded rant about how Ali shouldn't have fought some of the guys he fought and how Ward shouldn't fight Kovalev and Clenelo shouldn't fight Golovkin?

Then he's been telling media that he's not going to let Tank fight Lomachenko and to criticize him for the opponent selection.

    Do the math.

Horn was the WBO #1 or #2 contender, but that wasn't the reason. Arum had long stated that he wanted to do an international road show w/ Pac. Pac-Horn was the biggest match in boxing history in Australia.

It wasn't a cherrypick. It was a business opportunity to expand boxing/TR in Australia off of Pac's name.

Bro, how can you possibly call Pac a ducker when he fought Thurman at 40, tried to get Crawford twice, settled on Spence at 42, and then accepted Ugas (Shawn Porter's pimp) on 10 days notice?

People also said Pac avoids black fighters...

Since 2010, he's fought Clottey, Mosley, Bradley (3X), Broner, Thurman, wanted Spence/Crawford, and is fighting Ugas. That's EIGHT fights since he left the midget divisions. Nine including Floyd.
