Sexy Steve Smoger: Pants Around His Neck (NYSAC)

I used to give Cortez the benefit of the doubt, but he's made it hard the last couple years.

Smoger, Bayless, and Weeks are the three best, IMO. Although Frank Capuccino had a thirst for gore to beat Smoger any day.

Bayless has the perfect balance of refereeing

 

The ****! Smoger is head and shoulders above the rest of the refs. There is just no doubt.

He lets the fighters fight, he doesnt interfear, and he wont stop fights early.

 

And you think Bayless stops fights early or interferes?

 

Smoger is my favorite Ref.


Some have criticized him for letting fights go on to long when "maybe" they should have been stopped but I think this is just his way of giving the fighter's that last chance to come-back. And, he is up close and looks in their eyes. If they are out of it, I think he will stop it. He does seem to care about the fighters too. Maybe to much in regards to trying to balance out giving the fighter's that last hurrah and keeping them safe. Hard job to do it that way.

Fans will complain anyway. If the fight is stop to soon (in their opinion which varies)...its the refs fault. If the fight goes on to long (in their opinion which varies)...its the ref's fault. And the fighters are the same way; specifically when the ref stops the fight out of safety concerns.

 

Arguably the best ref of all time.

 

I never thought of Stevie as being sexy.

That was a bad one. It kinda looked like he didn't know if Jones was out or not. (Bwt, Jones looked really, really, really bad in his next fight)

 

I read somewhere he claimed he thought Jones was playing possum. I call bull****, it was just a very big mistake that could have cost someone their life.

Well, sometimes he mixes a little tongue action in there when he does stop one.
