Slava brutalizes Barrera to a close UD or late stoppage.

Strange hearing someone getting "Brutalized" yet only managing a close UD.

    Yep.
Gonzalez looked brutalized, but won a close decision by out working Cuadras. Cuadras wins the rematch.

    Yep.
But the only catch is, Barrera ain't Chocolatito Gonzalez and won't outwork Shabranskyy, he'll get off to a good start, but Slava will take over around the 4th or 5th and brutalize him for the rest of the match.

Gonzalez Vs Cuadras was, IMHO, a close fight.
Your prediction of Shabransky-Barrera reads like after round 4 it will be a one sided fight. How does that end up as a close decision?

Its a 10 round fight, if Barrera starts out well but ends up being broken down and beaten up but makes it to the final bell, that a 5-5 or 6-4 type of match. I think Sullivan will shade the first third and Slava shade the middle and take over completely late.

For the record I scored the Gonzalez match for Cuadras, picked Cuadras to beat Roman and said he'd be the toughest fight of Roman's career.

So you believe Barrera will win rounds 1-4/5 and not win any rounds afterwards?

Yeah pretty much, I also think the first half will be close, try watching the Yunieski-Slava match if you haven't already seen it, Shabranskyy won almost every round and became increasingly dominant as the match progressed, granted Barrera is a little better than Yunieski, he's not as big a puncher, which will male Slava less apprehensive, not that he was very apprehensive against Gonzalez either. The Barrera match will probably go the same way.

Barrera fought absolutely nothing but C- and D level fighters prior to Ward and was floored by these low level fighters. He actually wasn't the "Cuban amateur sensation" that people wrongly believed him to be.

    He already did, didn't he?

Let's see if it pays dividends. That's not to say Sanchez isn't a good trainer, but sometimes certain fighter / trainer partnerships just don't work out whether due to the personalities or styles or whatever. Kovalev - Sanchez is just one example.

A lot of guys don“t get the opportunity. It took Sullivan nearly 9 months to get this fight.

Shabransky by UD, 6 to 2 rounds with 2 even. Mind you - Barrera will put up a fight, so this should be a good one to watch.
