When will we get to see the World Premier of AHussain shadow boxing? I'm quite excited... I've told my whole family and several friends that you would be posting a video by Saturday... Big disappointment man.

    what are your goals?

first off, punch up above your eyes; train up because it's easy to fight down.

then stay focused on basic fundamentals. here are 4 rules to assist you:

    1. hands up, chin down (protect yourself at all times!). look through your eyebrows, to keep the chin down. look between the gloves. if you're looking over the gloves then the chin is too high or hands too low.

    2. two defenses for every offense. when one hand is out, that shoulder and the other hand protect your chin (target). actually touch the other hand to your cheek bone.

    3. every punch sets up another punch - think with your shoulders, not your hands, when punching. when one shoulder is forward, pull it back (using the spine as your fulcrum/central axis) to make the other shoulder go forward. do this whether its a two punch combo or twenty punches.

    4. three points for power (shoulder hip and toe) - especially as a beginner, use your whole body into the punch; pull the shoulder, turn the hip, and squash the bug with the ball of the foot. (note: three points for power is for the power shots. step with the jab to get power for the jab)

these videos are a few years old, a little boring to watch (I'm not as flashy as others but I do know what I'm talking about) but they're short and reinforce my technical points ...
